I'm getting ready to order another 5-Star pad. Does anyone have any thoughts about the cinch cutout option? My 2 pads I have now don't have that. I'm kinda thinking if it ain't broke don't fix it but maybe I'm missing out!

Pros or Cons?

I ordered one a couple years ago with the cinch cutout. I hated it. Sold it and bought another one without the cinch cutout.

I don't want the cinch cutout solely for the reason that it seems to tear up the leather that lays above the hole. Whenever I see used pads with the cutout, the leather looks horrible. And yes, I am that picky.

I have one pad with the cinch cutout and two without. Yes, the leather over the cutout does wear a lot more. I don't notice any advantage to the cutout, my other pads work just as good.

I VERY SELDOM have anyone order the cinch cut out (or even the leg cut out since that really does not do anything).  The one option that I sell the crap out of is the Flex Fit.

When you’re paying what a 5-Star costs, I don’t think anyone blames you for being picky. To justify part of the cost, these pads are supposed to hold up longer than the $100 pads of yesteryear, so why not be picky? I’m with you all the way.

I don't like the cut outs either. I was noticing recently one dealer had ALL in stock pads with the cinch cut outs. I wouldn't buy one of those, I'll order from Rockyroad like I always have and get exactly what I want.
