| We’re headed to the American in a couple weeks and 3 or 4 of the 5 of us going need new boots!
We’ll be picking up I-35 in southern Iowa and taking it all the way to Fort Worth. We’ll probably be in KC by the time we hit “business hours”. We plan on stopping in the OKC stockyards for the discount clothing stores.
Any discount boots stores we should know about? We will be down in Ft Worth for almost a week and plan to get out in the directions of Paul Taylor’s, Decatur, Weatherford, and maybe even Glen Rose so don’t hesitate to suggest places in those directions.
Just looking for basic boots, nothing crazy or designer, just trying to save a few bucks if there’s a place known for great prices since we need so many pairs! |

Location: CTX | There is a Teskey's in Weatherford. They have a nice selection. Also in Dallas there is a Cavender's, a Bronco western wear and Wild Bill's western store. (Never been to these, but just googled western boots DFW and these popped up) Also the Fort Worth stockyards has several western stores that sell boots. I'd be very surprised if you didn't find any there. Happy shopping, and have fun!! |

Location: Arkansas | The Cavenders in Dallas is awful--the one in the Stockyards is wonderful. It's like they aren't even the same store. The Dallas one is more focused towards drugstore cowboy/bar type wear I feel like. They only had ONE women's long sleeve button up in the entire store when I was there. The Stockyards one had TONS. |

It has been years but I was not impressed with Justin outlet in Justin, TX. Would not make a special trip there. |

I’m in Weatherford about 4 miles maybe from Teskey’s.
LOVE them. However, their clothing/accessories are in all price ranges. They seem to carry more expensive boots. They do have some inexpensive boots, but most of them are going to be what you have seen already. You said ‘cheap’ boots.
But if you get a chance, definitely go to Teskey’s...great store and customer service. It is just a fun store...so much to look at. Very comparable on price with all the horse stuff if you need something. They have definitely ‘spoiled’ me for a great western store. LOL
There is also a Boot Barn in Fort Worth...you can Google it. The Stockyards have great shopping too.
Have fun! |

Yeah, we know we’ve got the regular options like Teskeys, NRS, the places in the Stockyards.
Since 4 of the 5 family members going we’re hoping to find a place with some better prices than what we can pick up a catalog and order.

Already planning on it, used saddle shopping is on the list there! Haha.
My husband and I went down last year and hit up Paul Taylor’s, NRS, Teskeys etc. we liked them, but not much different than what we can get at our good spots around home - aside from Paul Taylor’s, we stock our tack room there!. My in laws are going with us this year so we’ll take them back just to say we went.
