Has anyone noticed since the AQHA revamped their website that their records lookup is not as user friendly, plus the $10 credit/month to look up records on the website is no longer? It could possibly be user error on my part, but I am baffled by the new site and when I went to look up a stallion's foal summary, it asked me for a form of payment, which has never happened before. Anyone else struggling- or getting it to work for them? Thanks!

Never noticed this, well since I just look up pedigrees and owner ship maybe its just when you look deeper into something, I just do the simple stuff. I will go look to see if anything had changed in what I look for.

I believe it was just this past week that they revamped the site. I just tried with a simple pedigree and it's giving me the same option- to buy the record... looks like no more free credit for members!

They had the site down for maintenance from like feb 28-March 3. Went to see if my young horses papers went through and totally confused myself on the new system. (They haven’t but they cashed the checks I sent and then asked for $5 more which I sent and they cashed??

When I do log on and then go to the pedigree records it takes me to NOT FOUND and The requested resource could not be found, all in pink..So I'm guessing the site is still down.. WOW!!! Why do they keep changing this site up! There was nothing wrong in the way it was, guess they are adding more to this site.

Roxie- It's all sorts of a mess. I dislike the menu that drops down everytime you accidentally scroll your mouse over the top of the page, covering what you're reading (or trying to). I wonder if they're still working on the site, or if they received enough complaints that they would change it back. I like my credit!!!

Racer4eva- That's strange they would just charge you another $5, did they give you any reason why?

Exactly! It's always fun learning more about other horses that people are interested in and giving them more info; I'm thinking AQHA made a big mistake here.

When on the home page, there are two tabs you can log in on.  Members and Sign In.  Trying either gets you to the place you have to put user name and password. Neither work. When I tried to create a new log in, it didn't like me to use my only email address because it was already in use.  I'm not going to create a new email address. It's just one more place to get spammed.

I logged in without much trouble, but I'm really irritated with the records research area. No free $10 worth of records research that I could find, either. The home page and articles read ok, but the research area is terrible trying to navigate by phone. The words don't wrap to the next line and the windows don't expand horizontally so I can't even read the record descriptions to make sure I'm selecting the right one. Pretty much the only reason I log in to the AQHA website is to do records research (which I do frequently), so if I can't use that there's no reason for me to go there at all. ****es me off.

AQHA on a whole is a mess. I wish there was some way to fire them. They are getting outrageous on fees. Raise everything & do everything they can to get more money out of you. It takes months to process stuff. I have called several times about papers we haven't got back & they are just sitting there they say oh everything is done they just haven't been processed yet. I'll do that now. Now they are wanting to raise money so they can move to Ft Worth. Geez just wait till they start charging us for that.

It shouldn't cost you anything to look up records if you are a member if you do it yourself. OUr money paid for their data base.

And while I'm on my soap box!!!! Why don't they have a toll free #.

AQHA it's all about the money

The comment section under the new website announcement on Facebook is full of unhappy members. Not one post saying they like the new layout, and EVERYONE is complaining about losing the monthly $10 credit. I agree, if you're a member ALL records should be free anyway, but $10 was better than nothing.

After looking through the site some more, it looks like some reports are free, but they pre-select which ones those are. Gee, how generous. And apparently the reports you do buy now have to be emailed to you? Many people are complaining that they've been waiting 3 days for reports they bought and still haven't received them.

There are also people complaining that existing credits people had purchased above and beyond the monthly credit have magically disappeared.

I don't usually have problems with AQHA, and have been a supporter of them since I was a youth member. I have a Lifetime adult membership. This crap makes me seriously consider switching to APHA horses. Maybe their market will increase after this fiasco... lol

I logged in just fine. Find out current owners of a horse is still free, it was emailed to me but took about an hour. That's all I've ever really checked, so I haven't had any trouble. I sent in transfers the first week of February and got my papers back within 3 weeks. I'm having issues with one that I was given a duplicate registration on and the one who I bought him from is dead, so they won't let me transfer, but other than that all this hasn't bothered me. I only paid a membership so I could transfer them into my name, I won't keep the membership as there's not really a need for it when I have their papers

I need a Ownership Report and I am lost!!  Do you have to be a memeber to get it even if it's free?  I need a report for #4656684...it will make a difference if I purchase him or not.  Wanted to do a little research.

I can log in, and request records, but when I tried to get a record that was $1 it not only added tax to it, but when I wanted to check out it asked for my cc..... I know for a fact that I had $8 of the free $$’s left last week, so no more free money.

there is a link for free records, and I requested 3 different horse records. Get a notice that an email with the link to the record has been send, and so far... no email... 1 I did last night, and thr other 2 a bit ago...

so clearly not working. They made a horrible website even worse....

Did anyone notice in the March/April America’s horse it said the February issue was “digital only”? Why are we paying so much money in membership fees to not access the records we want to, and to not be able to hold actual copies of the magazine we pay for?! I don’t like e-readers, because I love holding physical books and magazines. They are just taking way too much of our money and not providing enough in return. I will be emailing tomorrow to air my frustrations after I calm down for the night

Okay, rant over

It was just a little blurb on page 56, in the bottom right corner. I couldn’t even find it the second time I looked to show J.

I like the idea of offering rotating free reports, but why couldn't they have done that AND let us keep the $10 a month? That would have drawn way more traffic to the site, and kept members happy.

LOL. I think this whole new thing AQHA is doing is nothing but a mess, I have gotton repetes of records that I asked for on the 5th and got the same thing again yesterday. The first time I asked it took a few days to get what I was asking for and now they are making sure I get what I asked for by sending the same one to me over and over, lol. It was all free as far as I can tell.. I need to try a different horse now, just experimenting trying to get it figured out..

I requested my first free reports last night. It took about 4 hours to get the email, and when I click the link they provided I'm sent to a page that says, "The previous page is sending you to an invalid url." Haven't been able to see a report yet.

K I finally found out how to get reports. Log in. I use the members tab. On the "records" menu second one down is "free reports".  Click on that and follow the prompts.  You will get an email with a pdf to download. But you can also go to "submitted reports". There's a list of your submitted reports. You can download from there.
