Location: Arkansas | I know there are a couple of people on here that feed the Sr Active, and I am confused. (Not surprising according to my son ) We bought feed yesterday, and 7 of our 10 bags of the Active were plain white bags with just the red checkerboard---no name/nothing at all to say what was inside the bag. I read attached tag and that's the only way I knew it was Sr Active. The other 3 were the normal bags. It comes from Shreveport mill. Those 7 were made in Feb, and the normal 3 were made in March. This has me a bit worried to feed. I've emailed Purina but wondered if any of y'all had seen this. (They had the feed loaded when we came out. If not I would have noticed and asked the owners what was going on.) |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I'll be calling the owners of the feed store first thing in the morning and ask them about this, I wonder if they could be changing bags or if maybe they ran out of the normal bags and had to use the white ones. I'm betting they did run out of the normal bags and had to use replacement bags.. |

That's what Sean said too--probably ran out of bags . One of us is definitely calling them in the am to see if they know. |

This^^^^^ i think everyone here knows that I am not a Purina fan. But, you do run out of printed bags from time to time, and I am sure this is nothing more than that. If the tear tag identifies the product properly, this would be better than letting your customers run out of feed. |

Thank you sir. . . I don't know what I would have done without Purina when I was first searching for something for Dan all those years ago; I didn't have the benefit of BHW and all the wonderful and knowledgeable people on here back then. I've learned a lot the past few years from some people I truly trust. And I have not forgotten your kind offer of helping me with possibly changing my herd's diet, and I hope after tax season (and life "things") ends/slows down that I can have a long, informative talk with you. |

Location: TExas | We have had the same thing happen with Bluebonnet. They some times run out of bags and will put it in their generic bag or on from the same line and Tag it accordingly. I know the bags are made in china for BB and it takes months and months to get them. So if they run out of one kind or are in the process of revamping bags we may get a different one. I never worry about it bc the tags have the mill date on them. |

| You do understand that there is ONE feed mill in Shreveport. All Purina feeds come from that mill. My cousin’s family owned the other mill and it closed years ago. I picked up hog feed from the mill that is there now in the late 1960’s. If you are concerned about contaminated feed, you might want to change. Doesn’t bother me but I do not feed Purina. Had to switch feeds recently and I started feeding BIG V HERITAGE PROFESSIONAL. It is better than Purina and cheaper |

Location: Bandera, TX | A few weeks ago my Purina Impact caame in the checkered bag. I was told that Purina ran out of bags. It was the same feed. I also read that they have changed the bag design on th sr. feed. May be they are "between bags" at the mill. |

Not contamination I was worried about; I just want to know that the feed that's in the bag is actually Sr Active!! We haven't opened a bag yet but I'll probably do a visual inspection tomorrow. Feed store said their salesman "thinks" they just ran out of bags. And that some of their chicken scratch came in those same bags. |
