Location: Kansas / South Dakota | Im looking at Silver Lining Herb's Hemp Seed-Coconut Oil and Elite Three's Hemp Oil. Are all hemp oils the same "strength" for lack of better terms? Does anyone have experience with both to compare the two? What are things to look for when considering a hemp oil? Im clueless here TIA! |

| They are not all created equal. I can't do specifics because I rely on my daughter to find me the right products. But she assures me that the quality of products differs wildly. She is semi in the business so I trust her. I'm going to be getting my first CBD product this week! |

| They are not all the same. Also hope your horses like whatever you decide. I ordered Hemp Oil and my horses RUN from it. Now the Hemp Fibre that I get they eat it OK mixed in with their regular fee. They did not care for the Hemp Oil AT ALL. |

| I don't have experience with either so I can't compare them in that way but looking at the ingredient label, I would choose the Elite Three because it is pure hemp oil. For Hemp and CBD products (plus other oils), I personally choose Zatural.com. |

| 1) Typically oil extracted from the seed is better for cooking. Oil from the plant is better for medicinal purposes. 2) I’d stay away from products with oil sourced from Europe and China. Stick with an oil sourced in the USA. 3) Different products work better for diffferent people or animals. One product that didn’t work on you might work great for me. It just depends on how your body reacts and what the needs are. 4) Most human products should be between 15-18 mg of cannabis. |

Location: Kansas | I won a sample of CBD pellets from Plantacea and my horse eats them just fine. You only have to give them 1-2 teaspoons of it, so I'm sure the rest of the food blocks the taste. |

| Really either is fine. I do like a pure hemp seed oil. You are not looking at cbd oil where you do need to be sure it is what they say it is. Any one of these selling hemp seed oil should be fine. I buy from a non horse supplement company for less, it has been good quality. I fo also use CBD pellets but for different purpose than hemp seed oil. |

Hope Botanicals release their lab testing, unlike MANY of the other companies so you can see exactly what the strength is, that there is no THC, no fillers, etc. Not all companies sell the same quality - it definitely pays to get the good ones. We don't do an oil that is a top dress - but do CBD products for humans, horses & small animals. If anyone needs any info, I'd love to help you. We also do our BHW discount on any products too. (and of course, ours is ALL grown in the US). |

Location: London Ontario | I have a mare that has been on hemp oil since late summer. She is normally bright red sorrel, and I have found that she has gotten very dark - almost a liver-y chestnut color... is this normal? I am assuming she was lacking something that the hemp oil is now providing? |

I "think" that hemp oil is from the seed and CBD is from the bloom/blossom. Not all hemp will contain cbd. Not all cbd is derived from hemp. So they are different. You can google it but I did and got alot of gray area answers lol. The only reason I had to get educated is because my company has partered with a cbd oil producer. So I had to find out the deets. I fed my horse hemp oil and powder but I can't say I noticed a huge difference. It was from cnhorses.com simply hemp- which I believe is a very good pure source to get it from. one thing i know for a fact is: know your source :) |
