I have 2 on horses and really like them but watch the hairs around the bone. I had a real rats nest with my stallion when he swishes his tail. I just take the boot off and clean/condition hair more often than I was. Every 10 days to 2 weeks works on my horses. A month or more...not so much

I use them. I like them! I’ve left them in for a month before and it was fine. I personally won’t use any other kind of tail bag.

I had them on my two main rodeo horses all winter and it was so nice not having as much mud to clean out of them plus Cliff's tail didn't get all wadded up like it does sometimes. They stayed in really well for over a month at a time.

I LOVE mine! I have zero complaints. I keep it in for a month at a time, and it's so nice to be able to ride in it, and to not have to take it off and on every day to ride.

I can leave mine in for a month at a time at least.   My horses so get the swishers ripped off occasionally but I just make my own out of hay string.  You can use my discount code below (in signature) to save 10%

Love mine!  They stay in and don't make the super annoying popping noise!  I nearly got unloaded at a roping standing next to another horse with a tail bag on that was swatting it's tail.   My mare didn't know where that noise was coming from and she hated it!

How many of you have had success getting a tail to really grow longer with this vs keeping an already long tail clean? I’ve been trying to get my geldings tail to grow, putting stuff in it and braiding but he always pops the rubber bands...even big ones, so I guess he swishes his tail really hard.

My 3 year old filly had a chewed tail and it was very brittle. Noticable growth in the tail boot and it helped keep it soft.  The attached switch must have worked better than her own because she didnt' seem to beat her tail as hard with the boot as without it.

I have them for all 4 of mine and have left them in for a month at a time with no problems. I have one who has a super thick tail and hard to keep any tail bag on but the boot stays put. Absolutely love them.

What do you clean/condition the tail with?  I just ordered one, should have it tomorrow.

I was so excited to try these as I used to vet wrap tails and add hay twine swishers and had success. I am a tail freak. I ordered three and two horses had them falling off within a day or two. Lost the swishers within hours and everytime I replaced them they were gone again. I have tried as tight as possible and still haven't had luck. I just ordered more biomane tail bags because they last the longest and have my horses tails all dragging the ground.

I will take advice if anyone has any...

The first time I used them they both fell off in a day. I was like “well that waste of money”. Didn’t put them in again for a few weeks. Then I decided to watch the how to put them on video one more time and realized I hadn’t done them correctly. Tried again and they stayed on until I took them off a month later.

you have to make sure the inside pocket that holds the braid is velcro'd to the strip in the boot itself

I just watched the video. That is how I put it on but I will try it one more time with all 3 of them and see what happens. The only thing I didn't check was the length of the braid once it is bundled. Also - did it look like she rubber banded the bundle together before appying the tail boot? She didn't mention it but it definitely looked like it to me.

Ctdrumrnr- I have used electrical tape, he got that off too, that’s why I went to rubber bands then just quit braiding all together bc he gets them out or breaks them.
