My gelding was diagnosed with kissing spine last year. No xrays done, had all the signs so we injected his back which helped a ton. I don't have any saddle fit issues but wondering if anyone had suggestions on the best type of pad to use. Currently I use a Bayou West which I like but wonder if a different pad might absorb some of the concussion of me riding? Thanks

Our pads are having great success with alleviating the discomforts of Kissing Spine. www.saddleright.com

Saddleright is the first and only Orthopedic saddle pad available.

I was just going to say saddleright! I can’t think of a better pad for that situation. And they literally last forever.

Saddleright, thinline, or Jen X would be my top picks.

I really like my saddleright with my gelding who has kissing spines and my barrel saddle.  We use a 5 Star when we rope on him.  We’ve been getting along really well with injections, this summer will be his 3rd round.

I do highly suggest x-rays though.
