My husband has paid for me to go to a Kristen Weaver Brown clinic for multiple reasons (me, the horse, is spending time together etc) but the only horse I have is a 4yo that is only loping the pattern. Has anyone taken a horse like that to a barrel clinic and still gotten “enough” out of it?

Absolutely.  She really focuses on horsemanship.

I probably wouldn't recommend a horse that's only that far along for just any clinic. But I've been to Kristin's and would have no hesitation taking one that young to hers. She puts a heavy emphasis on horsemanship and she's such an accomplished futurity trainer.

Yes, a young one will do just fine at one of her clinics.

I took a horse who was broke but never had been hauled and had sat in a pasture basically for 8 years. I learned a lot and I think it was great for the horse too. I think it helped put a good foundation on her.

Not all clinics can "fix" a problem horse or rider but most can be a good start for a young horse loping the pattern. That's just the goal you need to have in mind, having a pro watch where you are with your young horse and making suggestions... might just forgo the need for a fixer clinic later! LOL
