Anybody done this lately and know? I have six weeks till they're needed. Will it take longer than that?

Good luck. My father in law sent in to get his 2018 colt papered late last October. He owned the mare, we know the stallion owner, everything is correct and in line - still don’t have papers. Go search #aqha on Facebook for more horror stories as of late. If you do send them in, make copies of everything and send with tracking. Not that it matters - they’ll cash your check 2 seconds after it arrives and you’ll be lucky to get papers in the next year. I give 6 weeks a snowballs chance in West Texas in August.

I am scared to send in a transfer report as well as a set of papers that needs a correction for the reasons stated.

I know this won't answer your question or help you know...I havent had this done in years through the mail but last year I had papers transfered onsite while at BBR and also again at the Little Britches Finals, this one was a little tricky since we didnt even have the papers but had an old signed transfer from the person we bought the horse from, took a little whilke but we got it done and I have papers. When AQHA is set up at an event they will do everything onsite and reprint them for you its super easy. Just throwing that out there for you if you are ever in the same place as them.

I will opt for the $20 rush fee. Surely that takes less than six weeks? Thank you for all the replies.

I'm in this boat - sent in for registration in October and haven't seen anything. Called in January and really didn't get any information except "sometime soon." Maybe October was the black hole?? |
