Location: Kansas / South Dakota | I have a 29 yr old gelding that has always been a hard keeper. We've currently got him on Nutrena Senior and Omnis cubes twice a day, then out on grass about 12 hrs/day, but he doesnt have much for teeth at this point so he's not getting much out of his pasture time. He looks "fine" now and is obviously retired, but I was just curious what others are feeding their old guys that might not have the best look keeping weight on. Would also be interested in any supplements you give your older horses to keep them comfortable. |

Can the Nutrena! We switched from that to Purina Senior Active and it made a world of difference. We also added THE Muscle Mass. Now we've had to switch to MVP 6 Way because he stopped eating the powdered supplement. The 6 way has improved his hair coat, he didn't shed out well last year, but is shedding beautifully this year. His topline is great, and he seems comfy. Our hay is heavy alfalfa with a little grass mix. We feed small squares, so he gets about 4/5 flakes a day split morning and night. |

| I have a 30 year old and I feed him Renew Gold (pound morning and night); Omega cubes morning and night. He is also on THE MM with blends and he has been on this supplement for about 5 or so years. He also has hay out 24/7 although I don't think he eats much of it and he is out on pasture 24/7 that the pasture is just around the barn area. He doesn't spend much time out there during the summer as it gets too hot for him so he stays in the barn with the fan on him. He also gets a little of soak alfalfa cubes I get from Tractor Supply just so the supplements with stick to. He used to live his soaked alfalfa cubes but now he would rather have the Omega cubes. Plus he is also on the Forco. I am attaching a picture of him that was taken early this Spring. |

Location: Arkansas | The first picture of Dan is May 28, 2018 and the second is June 16, 2018. I lost him July 28 of that year. He had hardly any teeth to speak of, on 24 hour pasture turn out as well as hay, but it didn't do much good because of his teeth! Because of his arthritis, I had to walk a thin line between too heavy but heavy enough. Dan had been on Purina SR Active for years, as well as beet pulp. We added rice bran the last few years, and he had been on Forco for about 2 months when he died (talk about a difference when we started that!). Platinum CJ is my go to supplement for the whole herd. He was 39 when he died. . . My heart horse |

| Triple crown senior is my go to for weight. I just haven’t found anything better. And you can use it as the sole ration to if they have no teeth. It’s great for ulcer type horses to. Very very low NSC (11). |

| Triple Crown Senior I've had the best luck with! I know several people who feed it which is why I tried it. Great stuff!! Would never switch. Its corn free which I love because my senior is also ulcer prone. Hes never looked better and I've had him for 21 years. |

| I dont have hard keepers but if I did I'd definitely use Bluebonnet Sr therapy. It's a wonderful soft feed. I fed it a little while but my horses dont need the extra fat |
