What Double J tree style fits your guy's WIDE mutton withered horses? My current Double J is a #10 tree with an 8" gullet and im not sure that it fits her that well. TIA!

I think the #10 is more for higher withered horses who need more rock. Maybe the wide would fit your horse better?

I like the Double J Lynn McKenzie wide tree. Or depending on the horse the neuva or neuva wide.

Double J has a saddle fitter now that carries all the available trees for every saddle Double J makes. If you could locate him and have him fit your horse I think you would be happy.

#10 is a tree for a very specific body type--not like the one you are describing. I'd suggest a wide.

A Double J #10 has rock to it, its more for a horse that has more of a dip behind shoulders. The Wide fit Double J is more for your wider heavier shoulder horse, I have both saddles. Heres a picture of my gelding I have the wide fit for.

My mare is wider at the shoulders but has tall withers - she has a LM  with the regular Nueva tree.  Yes to Double J's saddle fitter. I met him and had my horse fitted at a LM clinic I went to in Feb. Super nice guy and really helpful. I'd give Double J a call and find out when he will be within driveable distance for you.
