Have any of you tried these? I normally just use fly spray only on my horse's legs, but I thought I might try these. I have never used fly boots before. Thoughts? Are they worth it? Stomping is what I'd like to stop.

They really do work. I love them! Our district gives them away as awards every year. If your horses arent too hard on them, they can last for years!

I love mine - I resisted but finally bought them for my gelding with pretty sensitive feet to help reduce stress. He cant live without them now.

These have to be one of the best things I have ever bought for my horses.  They also help with my sanity... oh how the stomping drives me nuts!

They are well worth the money IMO. I get about a summer and a half out of them on horses that are turned out 24/7. My horses are much happier with them on.

I've tried multiple brands, and these are the best. However, I was disappointed how much life I got out of my first pair. My horses are turned out on pasture, and after one summer they were all falling apart and several had holes in them. My Kensington boots have held up better, but they are a pain because they slouch which kind of defeats the purpose. I would suggest making sure you take them off when it's muddy because that seems to be the beginning of the end.

Awesome. I was told they run very large, so I ordered mediums for my 16,1 gelding.

I saw people saying to order down a size on FB, so that’s what I did. One person said her 16.2 horse could poop in the size large, for example.

Love ours.

size wise I have 3 pairs of smalls and 1 pair of mediums.  The mediums work ok on our 15-15.3 hand rope horses, but the smalls work fine on them too.

I love mine! I haven't bothered to use them when my horse is out in the big pasture, because he's known to remove anything I put on him, but when he's in a pen he's never gotten them off and they significantly reduced stomping.

Thanks y'all. AJ's Horse Country on FB had a 20% off code, so I ordered a set. I don't know if my horse minds stomping, but it drives me crazy. LOL The Pyrhana fly spray is great, but it wears off quickly.

They are one of the best things since sliced bread!!!

Get some. You will not regret it.

I have three horses: a big boned 15.3 hand gelding, a 15.2 gelding, and a 14.2 gelding with little ankles. A medium works for them all. The smaller horse could probably get away with the size small, but I haven't had a problem with the medium.

I ordered some boots that were similar to the shooflies but cheaper because you got 4 from a lady named Linda Long. They were the best ever! She hand made them and you could get all kinds of colors.

Really saves on flyspray too! I only get 1 season out of them but my horses live outside 24/7. I have heard Donna's Bug Boots and Stomp Stoppers are good too, I just haven't tried those brands to compare.

I found all the mentioned ones on FB. They are all similar in price.

Im looking for the one that does best in a turn-out situation. My horse has stall and pasture access 24/7. Can NOT keep a fly mask on her so not sure if these will last but somthings gotta give! The flies are bleeding her dry!

Love these. I have an old guy that cannot wear clothes. He shreds everything. He wore his shoo-flys 24/7 all last summer and I stuck them back on a month ago. They look a little raggedy but they're still doing the job.

I have one mare who can't wear the backs. They're TOUCHING HER which she cannot abide so she'll pick her legs up extra high and make herself really sore in the hips.

I love them!  I broke down and ordered a set.....they work great.  However my 2 year old somehow keeps pulling the front ones off - completely undone!  Any suggestions?  I can't keep fly masks or blankets on her either......

I ordered a set for Brother Dave.

They are awesome. They especially help during shoeing..and when he's stalled.

He's big and medium fits perfectly.

I'm totally the odd person out on here.  I purchased front and hinds for 3 horses.  After a week all 3 had managed to rip them off at one time or another.  Just sitting in the corner of the barn until I try again for the 20th time.

Just got my first sets last night and put them on.  Was missing one this morning but found it and put it back on.  I will say going forward, I will leave them off during the night and put them on in the morning, as down in where I live, we're still getting a heavy dew on the grass at night, so they were sopping wet this morning.  I don't that moisture held in on the coronary band all day from them getting so wet at night, so i'll take them off going forward in the evenings and put them back on at morning feeding.

Can they wear them 24/7? Does it rub at all? I currently boarding. So I wouldn't expect them to be taken off and on everyday.

I got 3 sets earlier this week. I bought small for my 15 hand horse. Hers are staying on. I bought mediums for my 16h gelding and my 15.2 two year ago. My gelding’s all stayed on until today - he has a front one missing.

My two year old learned how to get her front ones off immediately. And I CANNOT keep a front one on her for any amount of time. She is a nosy trouble maker, so this isn’t surprising.

They do seem to function as theyre supposed to. Before these, I used Defy The Fly leg bands which also seemed to work well, but I was checking daily for rubs.

Just my review for anybody looking in to these! I would recommend them for horses that would leave them alone.

I leave mine on all the time unless I'm riding or if I want to clean them. I've never had a problem with them rubbing. They are great!

I thought they were dumb for the longest time.

Then last summer a friend convinced me to try them. Where we were for the weekend was awful for flys and the horses were not happy. Shoo-flies to the rescue!

They really are the best thing ever! Worth every penny and actually super tough too!
