do you have any recommendations or ideas about this? Horse had a coil embolization April 5. Brought the horse home April 9 and horse was having trouble eating. Swelling appeared a couple weeks later but was much smaller. Did a short round of smz. Swelling grew. Took her to my local vet who did xrays which were normal (do not have copies) and then prescribed smz and bute x1 month. Just finished the smz on Sunday and I quit buting her Tuesday because ultimately she wouldn’t eat it and I was lazy and tired of syringing her 2x a day. My vet consulted with isu who did the surgery and both are stumped. They said we could try to ultrasound but my vet didn’t feel confident it would give us answers we’d need. Isu also offered that we could tap the joint but my vet is hesitant as he doesn’t want to introduce anything into the joint if it is outside. The only other thing they offered was a head ct which at this point, honestly, my finances are tapped out.

Have any of you had this happen? Any suggestions?? I’ll see if I can share my fb album which has all the pics and the whole story.

Do you have access to a cold laser or red light therapy?

No, I don’t. A friend recommended it to me and I tried posting on fb for more information about how they work, etc but got no answers
