Meet Waynes Chick and her second baby of 2019.  On May 1st she had a perfect black colt by LT Tres Ta Fame.  He was growing perfectly, then on May 21st I went out to the pasture and he was dead.  The night before he was active, with no sign of issues.  

Fast forward 8 days to May 29th.  I get a call from a lady who raises Gypsy horses.  She had lost a mare and need a nurse mare.  I agreed, because even though I've never needed a nurse mare yet, someday I probably will and I hope someone will help me out at that time.  

This mare is a half sister to Dashin Julene who has earned over $70k in the barrel pen.  She's a AAA producer and a really great mother, especially to this baby Gypsy horse.

The whole nurse mare thing amazes me.  

Oh man so sorry for you and the mares lost, how heart breaking.. 

But what a blessing for this mare to have a second chance at being a mommie, they are so cute together, that baby is the cutest thing ever..

I'm sorry about the loss of your baby.. But glad you could be a blessing to another baby... they look happy to have each other.

So sorry for you and your mare losing that baby.   But it's great both of you were able to be a blessing to that lady and that foal.  They are beautiful together. 

That is super cute baby!  I'd have a hard time giving it back!  LOL!
