Does anyone operate their own AirBnB? Or have a cabin rental type property? The property next to us is an Aframe cabin and probably comming up for sale. I really hate the idea of having a neighbor there. And dont really want to deal with renters but a weekend rental might be a way for it to be feasable for us. Just wondering if you guys have any suggestions or experience in this department?

I have no advice on owning one, but ANYTIME Sean and I go on vacation, we always look for cabins or house to rent. What you're thinking of doing would be right down our alley!!

AirBnB's are popular, especially if it's in a nice area close to lots of attractions and it's a decent price for the night. I'd say go for it, just make sure to have insurance on it along with setting your own rules per say. I'm actually looking at a few AirBnB places in New Orleans for kiddo and I when I graduate nursing school this september, we are in definite need of a vacation.

My dad is just starting out getting involved with Air BNBs. He always stays in them when he travels. He is going through the process of getting his main house listed through an Air BnB management company. He has a gorgeous house directly off a main drag to Lake Powell, the Grand Canyon, and a highly trafficked off-roading destination, so hopefully it will do well.
He also just closed on a second house that he will be renovating for the same purpose... but that one is on five acres in prime horse country... so I’m thinking we just might move there instead
My dad has attended several conventions and has been researching the profitability for a while now. He isn’t one to jump in feet first unless he feels that it’s a solid investment. So if I were to go off of his decision making, I’d say go for it.
