My daughter took her mare to the vet as the mare was acting very studish--aggressive with other horses and trying to mount a mare. Vet found that this mare has very small ovaries (grape size) and no follicles. Vet thought maybe a hermaphrodite but she could not find any male organs. The vet was calling another vet tomorrow to see whether she should test for testrosterone or estrogen. 

Anyone else have a mare like this? If so, what was your experience?

The mare is fine to ride but wanting to treat to improve her behavior in the pasture with other horses.
