So, I stumbled on a Facebook post that says flies hate pine sol. I decided to give it a go. I used the original scent and mixed equal parts water with it in a spray bottle. Some others say to add vinegar to it but I just used water. My back porch is terrible with flies because of dogs I guess. So I sprayed around my porch earlier today ... I'm pleased with it! The flies have definitely dwindled! Still have a few stragglers but they dont stay long. I sprayed a little again when I fed the dogs and typically the flies will really get bad when I feed. Pretty big difference! Definitely cheap enough to use daily. And it smells decent, kinda smells like my gym but its not bad, better than dog smell I guess! Just passing along some info in case someone else wants to give it a try. Going to try it tomorrow around my barn and feed room.

FYI - Lysol works great too. Lysol was developed originally as a pesticide (nice)!

So you use these as basically a premise spray?

I saw this also and am going to try it this evening maybe - I have to buy some pine sol.  I think it said to simply wipe down patio furniture and railings with it - i probably did not read the whole thing, but a spray bottle is a good idea!! I'm slow sometimes....

Mmm, I heard about that a couple of years ago, and got the pin sol, but somehow never got to it. I should still have the pine sol sitting in the shed somewhere... lol... going to try this soon!
