Of course there are things we could pick apart about the show at times, but overall I enjoy it. I am happy there is a show that features a bit of our lifestyle. I also love the song choices by some of my favorite bands (Whiskey Myers, Blackberry Smoke, Turnpike Trubadors)

I watched a little bit, but that part when the vet opened him up and had the rib spreader on him and it showed a bad  horrible cut that looked liked hambuger that she did, and he was watching, that just looked a bit to far out there for me, ha ha ha ha..

Totally agree with this! Kevin has always been my man crush LOL. He is, by far, my favorite actor of all time I believe.

I might be wrong but I thought I heard at some point that he actually does own a ranch and horses. So he does actually ride!!

Joey from the Friends show  owns a cattle ranch, too. Not the same caliber of actor, but man, he was so cute! When he did a late night interview a while back he wore jeans, boots and a brush jacket that darn sure had been used.

He definitely sits a horse well... he dont look like a gunsel on one lol! I kinda have a little crush on the foreman guy too, cant remember his name at the moment... but seriously,  between the ranch, the men and the horses that show is just full of eye candy!

My hubby corrected me. We had Directv then. Sigh.   So no Netflicks.  Sorry.   I don't watch much tv. He does. Only a limited amount of shows are a must for me.

I have always just loved Kevin Costner... and still do. However, I do just love the Rip (Foreman) character and have a huge ‘crush’ on him...which I did not expect when I started watching.

LOVE the series!

I also am a big, huge fan of Beth.

Does anyone know anything about The Last Cowboy series coming in July that Paramount is advertising during Yellowstone? I will have to Google it.

We were sort of behind and didn't watch any shows until we decided to buy season 1 at Walmart one night.  Then we binged. lol

Season 2 started off pretty intense!  Loved it.  Now, I just hope I'm home on Wed nights to keep up!

Definite eye-candy as well.  I do like Rip, and Kayce, and the horses!  Rip looks totally different though without the rough and tumble beard.  I googled him and was somewhat disappointed. Kayce on the other hand...whoo...

Completely agree on Kaycee and Rip...I also Googled.

In the Series, Rip is also way different without a hat, but Kaycee is still good lookin without the hat.

And... Kevin Costner is just good at any age (in a Western).

They are filming different reining shows now, for, I assumed, that show.   NRBC was one they filmed I think.  Not sure of the details tho!  I believe TS is also involved in the Million Dollar Reining show they're putting together. . .

I see where someone else explained better than me!!!

I just wanted to say I’m happy I could finally open this thread - lol!

We recorded but never got around to watching Season 1 then the DVR deleted it.

So we bought it and binged - I actually stayed awake until 11pm watching!  Usually I am passed out by 9:30 and miss half of whatever we’re watching.

It is so not what we were expecting but we are so hooked.

i could do without some of the language and adult scenes, but that’s why I’m not a director I guess.

I haven't watched it, but it seems like a neat show! I was flipping through PETA's one site to amuse myself and Yellowstone was one they mentioned for animal abuse because they "mutilated cattle corpses"????

The cow must have forgotten to sign a release form before it died!

Only a week late, but I finally watched the first episode of season 2! So many questions, what does Jon need to undo?? Rip and Walker are going to have it out!

I could watch that show all day just for the eye candy!

I wish I could cound how many times I said "poor Jimmy" through the first season. He's becoming one of my favorites.

I'm not sure which one I could pick to like better, Rip or Walker.

I didn't think Kayce looked that good last season but I have a small crush on him this season.

Really I just want to console Jon, I mean for an old guy Kevin Costner looks GOOOOOD!

I cant think of another show I've ever been this invested in! I absolutely love it! And watching tonight's episode was even better with all the fun reining action... poor Jimmy lol! I really enjoyed watching the premiere of The Last Cowboy too. Boy that Andrea Fappani is sure intense! Two awesome shows I get to look forward to each week yay!

I used to really really look forward to Dallas. . . But YS is like "why can't it be twice a week or at least two hours a night"?!!!   Love it!!!!

My office supply salesman came in today (we always rehash the episode), but I told him he couldn't talk about it cause I hadn't watched it yet---he was so sad!!

Like I said on another post, I think Yellowstone is the new Dallas and JR Ewing has nothing on Beth.  She is a bad dude, wouldn't want to **** her off!

Chandler and I loved the original (when he was young he wanted the entire original Dallas series on DVD) and then we got invested in the "next generation" Dallas. . . Til the cliffhanger that never returned!    When we went to Southfork, he loved seeing Larry Hagman's pictures along side the young guys from the remake.   Never thought there would be another to compare to that show--but woo hoo for Yellowstone!!!

I dont have cable at my new house and I am heartbroken that I wont be able to watch this season!!!! Hope it was a good one!

I don't have cable either.  If you have Amazon Prime Video you can buy the first season for like $16.99.  Get a video output cord and connect your phone to your TV and watch it that way.  That's how we do NETFLIX and Amazon Prime Video (we also get HBO through Amazon Prime Video).

If Beth would of had a gun the guys would have just shot her for she would have been shooting at them.  The letter opener worked better for the scene.

Not if she was a good shot and took them out first! Which reminds me, I need to get back involved with my shooting league lol! But yeah the letter opener proved to be a very effective weapon! Nonetheless shes a bada$$! Her and Rip are a power couple

Right????   She told him on the roof "don't tell me now, tell me when I need it."   Ok, I'm pretty sure after the night she had, she needed to hear it then!    Perhaps I need even more from Rip.   (Did I say that out loud???)   I meant SHE needs more from him.  Her, not me.  Didn't mean me. . . .

OH MY---let me try. Indians building casino near ranch, Jenkins involved with Indians building it but is getting pushed out, Duttons dont want casino period because it willd drive up property values so much that it will be hard for them to pay the taxes. Beck Brothers, bad guys and outsiders are pushing in---they don't want casino either because they have others and it will hurt them. They had Beth beat up. That is Cliff Notes but you really need to watch last season and earlier ones this season.

I guess I'm forgetting the reason too--is it related to their momma's death?   Blame for that?

I feel like it has to do with her and Rip the way she went inside and went after him after John was talking about Rip and Tate. I really hope they don’t hurt Tate!

Love this show. But the only thing is why does Beth hate jamie so much? that one I just don't get.

I guess I'm forgetting the reason too--is it related to their momma's death?   Blame for that?

Does anyone think the Becks are gonna kidnap Tate?

I feel like it has to do with her and Rip the way she went inside and went after him after John was talking about Rip and Tate. I really hope they don’t hurt Tate!

If they hurt him, Kayce will go deadly soldier on them, Monica will go Native, and heaven help them with what John will do. . . .

They are saying that there is a specific reason for the hate and it is justified and that we will find out.

I think she blames Jamie for her mothers death at the gate.  He is what took her mother away from her and she just can't let it go..

When she watched Rip with tate at the corral she was remembering back how her mother was with her.  Notice how she had that smile on her face at that moment.  Then the anger set back in and she went after Jamie.

At the end of Wednesday show that nasty guy commented that he would go after what John loved the most and his boot was on a pic of Tate.  Not going to be good!

I think Beth hates Jamie because she sees him as weak.

I think she hates herself for being weak(scared) that caused her mom to die.  She has mention that since then, she doesn't get scared(weak) anymore.

Thus why she is a major hard B***h.

Just my take on it.

This is by far the best show out there right now. It’s Dallas on steroids made for Cinemax viewers. Beth is seriously a bad a_ _! When Jason was killed and she got hit so hard she fell back - I think the breath left my body as well and then Rip came to the rescue - I found myself literally on the edge of my seat.

I’m thinking the hatred for Jamie has to do with a horse. Maybe she was riding Jamie’s horse when her mom died? The spouting off about the family business to a reporter surly didn’t help him at all.

FYI - if you don’t have cable you can stream the entire first season for free on the Paramount Networks website or Amazon. I have Direct Now (the streaming app) aka AT&T and can watch on my phone - have recorded all of season 2 for winter watching.

Love this show. But the only thing is why does Beth hate jamie so much? that one I just don't get.

I was just discussing this on my facebook. Mine and others theories are:

Jamie did something that ruined things for Rip and Beth. Maybe he told their father about their relationship. Maybe they were planning to run away /were pregnant possibly. Something along those lines. Maybe Beth was pregnant and Jamie told their father and he made her give the baby up...

The only other thing we can come up with besides that Beth is just a vile and mean/damaged person is that maybe she has taken the fall for something involving her mothers death that was really Jamie's. Or maybe he did something that in her mind caused their mothers death.

I also am wondering if Jamie is John Duttons biological son. Not only because of comments he made about not loving him "the same" but because in the begginning of season 1 there was a portrait of the family. There were only 3 kids, NOT FOUR. So someone in the odd man out here...

I think so too. She was talking about love. I think he did something so she and rip couldn’t be together.

My hubby thinks Jaimie did something to break Rip and Beth up when they were younger. When we saw Beth watching Rip with Tate, it was like she was thinking what could have been and he would have made a great Dad. Jaimie definitely did something to Beth and Rip long ago that affected her life down the road like her Mother’s death did too. Beth was actually blamed/self blamed for her Mother’s death as she was scared of her horse and handling the gate when her Mom’s horse spooked and dumped her.

The thing about the Becks going after Tate is too obvious. My hubby also, thinks that with Tate bugging everyone to ride his new horse, Tate does try to ride him and goes missing. Then the family thinks the Becks got him, but they didn’t. In the preview trailer, it shows Beth huddled over someone. I don’t think they will do anything to Tate. The preview does briefly show Casey going all soldier. Becks go after someone, but we don’t really know who.

W are so desperate for more that we watched the preview like 3x trying to figure something out. It was such fantastic acting when Beth was in the barn with Jaimie. You could feel the hate.

Can ya’ll tell that our household is completely addicted? LOL

Only 2 episodes left!!!    Like my husband said last night, It's going to be a long year of waiting!!

I love this show!  I can't get enough.  I really hope they don't do anything to Tate... my TV may end up in the dumpster!

I'm still slightly confused as to why the Becks are after the Dutton's now, since they want the same thing - everyone out of the valley. Other than John D didn't accept their assistance in getting rid of folks.  I sure hope the Duttons get to the Becks first.

I now feel the need to go back to season 1 and find this picture, ocd like that.

I do find it interesting that Beth and Rip’s relationship has a forbidden tone.  Like it’s not a secret, but no ones inviting Rip to Christmas dinner either.  You’d think after he saved her he’d be welcome to recoup in the big house...I’m very curious about the history.

and sad there’s only 2 episodes left...what if they leave us hanging...

Jamie was not at the gate during the accident.  it was beth and casey.  Jamie was branding with his dad.  Also in the family photo Lee is not there.  The son who was shot in the first episode.  So, was he evelyns? or by a 1st wife?  Adopted hand?  LOL

I also really want to know why Beth hates Jaime. . . I never thought about him not being John's bilogical son.
I feel like I need a binge day start from Season 1 and go to current.

I think something will happen with Tate but that's too obvious so there will be a lot more to it.

Any bets on if/when Walker will come back?? I don't think he's gone for good. . I hope not, I like to look at him! :

I'd probably forget how to speak or something if I seen Rip in person!

Kevin Costner was at a rodeo just a little over an hour from my house. I wonder how much trouble I'd get into if I went for a drive trying to find where they are filming.. . .

They are certainly setting up Season 3 to be rock and roll for sure.  I think when Monica fell to the ground wailing when they found Tate's boot she decided to 'wear the brand'. She is now all in.

I don't honestly think they'll kill Tate, it's too predictable, but it will get ugly. They'll leave us hanging for sure. I hate season finales! They could of at least made it a longer episode.

I just lost my dad in January so the beginning of last nights show had me literally sobbing.  Made me wish I could have gone back, gotten my dad out of that stupid hospital bed somehow and taken him up to his cabin on the mountain west of town and let him have his last few hours/minutes on his porch over looking the valley.

I also thought it was Jamie at the gate with Beth and thier mother, I must have been not really paying attention because I remember thinking it wasn't even Beth's horse that knocked into the mom's horse when they went thru the gate...

And I I want to know what the symbols that were drawn on Rip's horse were...I think the one on his face was a circle around the eye and the one on his hip may have been a zig zag arrow but couldn't make out what was drawn on his shoulder.

oh Rip

That tugged at my heartstrings when Beth read him the letter.

Beth is still a badass b*tch but I'm loving her softer side. I wonder if her and Rip will get married?

I was holding my breath when Rip rode his horse through the gunfire to see how many they were up against.

The end when John was crying

AHHH I can't wait for season 3.

I wonder what kind of response I'd get if I made a farmers only profile. .  Wanted: Rip Wheeler look a like

When Rip went into the gun fire, I told Sean "I absolutely will NOT watch next season if they kill him off."    And I also was trying to make out the Indian symbols his horse had on him.   (I would have been real agreeable to drawing on Rip--whatever he needed me to rub on him, oh my, I mean draw. )

That FO idea isn't a bad one, not at all. . .

My dad passed away after Christmas in 2017. When we were planning the funeral, I had just "found" Chris Stapleton's music.  The song they played when John was on the mountain with his dad was the one I made them play during the service.  Made me cry again.

When Rip went into the gun fire, I told Sean "I absolutely will NOT watch next season if they kill him off."    And I also was trying to make out the Indian symbols his horse had on him.   (I would have been real agreeable to drawing on Rip--whatever he needed me to rub on him, oh my, I mean draw. )

That FO idea isn't a bad one, not at all. . .

I seriously didn't breath until he got off that horse and went for his gun. . .

I'd let Rip do things to me that would get this thread shut down if I said them. . .

I'm pretty anit online dating but if I could find me a Rip I might would go for it!

In my opinion, the tremendous popularity of Rip - and the other manly men in Yellowstone makes a huge statement regarding just how much women love manly men.....  perhaps the day of foo-foo men is passing..... let us hope.  Men who use more skincare products than I use, are a huge turn-off for me.  I can happily say, however, I have been married 42 years to a manly man and my heart still flutters when he walks in to the room.

That tugged at my heartstrings when Beth read him the letter.

Beth is still a badass b*tch but I'm loving her softer side. I wonder if her and Rip will get married?

I was holding my breath when Rip rode his horse through the gunfire to see how many they were up against.

A co-worker was an extra for season 3. I'm so jealous he got to sit right next to "John Dutton" during the scene.

He said Kevin Costner is a nice guy and very down to earth!

When my daughter was dating she told me, “ Mom I am so tired of being the man in a relationship. All guys want to do is talk about their feelings!”  Thankfully she found a manly man. The above posts just cracked me up and reminded me of her.

I don't know if it's so much Rip's looks, but the way he acts on the show.   As mentioned...the Man's man type.  Tough guy with a softer underside that only a few get to see.  Hubba hubba

Get him out of the beard and dark hair and definitely meh. lol

Don was HOT in his day too!!

Rip didn't do anything for me when he was young (in Pitch Black I think it was), but ummm ummm that man matured and put on a cowboy hat.   And now my buttons have been punched in the best possible way

Ok, I had to look up this Rip person, so his hair and beard are dyed? Yept the beard and hat does make a big difference. And the sun glasses make it even a nicer look. His character is rough and tough looking on YellowStone for sure..

Definitely a hot hot cast!   Plus I sometimes wish I could be as ball-y as Beth. . . Can't wait for the next season.

ya all im getting my Y fix in a group on fb.  its called the yellowstone bunkhouse (btw if you havent seen the bunkhouse clips of after show info, you are missing out on some funny stuff!)  Anyhoo..... there is some really good stuff there.  also if you want to be an extra you can find the call outs there (or links to them).  And just yesterday, Kacyce's mom made a comment apperance.  She let us know that they are actually filming on location at the ranch and that if you are in the area you might just catch a glimse of one of them out and about town.

One of the members was in the area and asking for info about going to the ranch.  She could drive by the road but not enter since they were filming.

Oh, If I didn't live 18 hours away!!   When we went to Yellowstone park this summer, we thought about going up there, but it was another 3-4 hours from YS.
