| I have a horse we just treated for EPM. I have heard it’s a good idea to put them on a vitamin E supplement after the treatment. Has anyone done this and thought it helped? Which supplement brand did you use? Also what kind of exercise regimine did you use to start getting your horse back? Thanks! |

Location: Owensville, IN | i recently just went thru this with my mare. my vet told me that she would have to be on 5000 iu vit e for the rest of her life. i feed her the vitaflex e-5000.....2 scoops once a day. she's continued to do great and improve....even with the stress of this heat |

| Mine was treated 5 years ago but his EPM only affected his face. Lost the muscle tone on the left side. I still to this day give Vitamin E, Sliver Lining's Immune Support and their Brain and Nerve Support herbs. He has never relapsed so I stuck with this regiment. |

Location: Missouri | Yep, vet should tell you how much vitamin E. Mine is on 5000iU for life. I use this stuff.... https://www.horse.com/item/su-per-e-se-powder-supplement-20-lb/E018708/?srccode=GPHORSE&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-eaMvZ_B4wIVy8DACh2vzAcwEAQYBCABEgIfTvD_BwE As far as exercise after time off, just like bringing any other horse back. I started with 20 min rides the 1st week, increased by 5 min a week and was back in the arena in 5 weeks. She's a completely different horse. |
