Wondering who you would recommend to find a hind end mystery lameness in a barrel horse. Just had stifle injected and vet said in 4 days would be good. Last night tried to longe in circle and he would trot and lope to the right fine. Trotted ok to left and when asked to lope would try to kick my head off and ran off. Any suggestions?TIA

In my experience with stifle issues, injections haven't really worked well at all.
What exactly was wrong with the stifle? Just sore? Did the vet ultrasound?

Thanks for the ideas. He has had his hocks done earlier. Had a bad bruise on top of left hind coronary band and thought that might be it but doesn’t react to hoof testers.

It would be a little bit of a drive but Dr. Harvey with Outlaw Equine is going to be at Horse Power in Conway, AR in two weeks. They have always been super to work with and have diagnosed several mystery cases for me.
Hope you find someone who can help you out, best of luck!

Sounds like a suspensory issue to me (have delt with something very similar) or bones cycst in the stifles or OCD. I would find someone really good at taking ultrasounds and xrays. I have ok luck with mystery lameness @ Oakridge.
