Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | If you live somewhere humid don’t store it in your trailer. It will mildew. If your not going to use it for daily use take it off and take it home. I keep my nice sets in my house on a rack. I hang them from the tugs. It helps keep their shape plus the climate control of the house helps the leather not dry out and keeps it from mildewing. |

Location: Florida | I board as well, and I live in an apartment and I literally have a corner in my living room where I store my tack. It's too humid here in Florida to keep everything in the tack room at my barn, it gets too much mildew. I purchased a this coat hook rack thing off Amazon for all my headstalls, extra bits, reins, etc and I keep my saddle on a stand. I also have one of those cheap 3-drawer plastic storage things and I keep all my boots, wraps, etc in there. It's kind of a pain in the ass to load and unload all my stuff every time I want to ride or haul, but it keeps my stuff in good shape and forces me to keep it organized. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016ZZ5ISM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |
