| I plan on calling the vet out if this continues by the end of the week. But my 14 year old geldings left rear fetlock is swollen in different areas it almost looks like he was stung by something in multiple places but he wasn’t. I noticed Sunday and we ran on Saturday so I’m not sure if he did something during his run or not. He is not off or acting like it’s bothering him, and the swelling goes down when he’s turned out. Does anyone have any other recommendations or ideas? I’ve also been putting DIO on it. I can give him equioxx as well but since it’s not bothering him I wasn’t sure if that would be a good idea or not!
Sorry for the multiple posts of photos I couldn’t get them all on the original post!

| Looks like windpuff. Keep using the DIO but use it as a sweat. Sweat over night. Cold hose it of a morning or ice it of a morning. |

Location: MN | I agree. It does look like windpuffs. To my knowledge, vets cant really do anything about them. Sweating and icing like the above posters have mentioned. My gelding has them on both back fetlocks and they have never bothered him. |

| If there is "heat" in there, then you may have something more than Windpuffs going on. |

There’s no heat in the leg, forgot to add that to original post! |

| 10 minute ultra sound for peace of mind might be a good idea but doesn't look bad to me. Escpecially with it being so localized. |

| Thanks everyone for all of the help. I had a vet our yesterday and they did an ultrasound, she couldn’t find any tears which was great news! His swelling is localized to the tendon sheath she said he has tenosynovitis, she wants me to keep it wrapped, give him equioxx daily, and give him 30 days off. |

Ended up just being windpuffs. No lameness and they never bothered him. I think I just never realized them before. Ended up selling him but his new owners aren't have any issues! |
