Is it a certain amount of runs that horse has had? Won a certain amount of money? Been on barrels for a certain amount of time? What does seasoned mean to you? I know every one has a different idea about what these things mean and I am just curious what people’s thoughts are?

Yes I know this I am just curious when people consider a horse to be seasoned. A horse that has made 20 runs? 50? Is consistent with times etc? When do you consider a horse to no longer be green on the pattern?

When a horse can go to a strange arena and find "most" of the barrels on his own without a whole lot of help from the rider, in my opinion, is a seasoned horse. He might not make his best run in a new arena, but he is looking for them and trying.
