Hey what would y'all recommend to work my ground in that red north Texas clay type dirt. I currently use a tiller but it's not getting deep enough and it takes FOREVER to work my ground. I need something that will get at least 6" in the ground and can rip hard ground
We used to have a Tarter that was pretty identical to the priefert arena tool. Problem with those is that the back roller won't let it go in the ground deep enough. I ended up taking the bolts out of it so it was just conected at the top so it could swing back when I dropped it down in the dirt. Another thing was that the teeth weren't stout enough when our arena would get packed down. Broke lots of teeth. I think those types of tools are geared more for indoor or sandy arenas. A good ol chissel and spring tooth is pretty hard to beat.

Oh heck you got really hard ground, that black dirt clay is a monster. I had friends that had that red clay and they would have to water down some but let it dry cause that clay would just gum up then used a disk and went over and over it to break it up but didnt let the disk get to deep and used a tiller on it, all the good expensive tools could not handle that clay. After a while they hauled in sand and some other kind of dirt to mix in the clay and that helped alot to keep the ground softer.. And not to far from me is that black gumbo dirt, its just about impossible to work up, I have a friend that has this and had to haul in different dirt and sand. The black gumbo dirt is horrible. :(
4n1 revel we bout 1 in 98 i think its a work horse we had red clay. everyone in ga loved our dirt at the arena
we also used it to do control burns driveway. i really don/t know if the 1 justin has now is the 1 we bought years ago but there easy to work on
I was looking at the reveal 4 in 1. I have that red clay dirt that gets packed down and hard as concrete. What size tractor did you use to pull the reveal?
