Location: Arkansas | Between the deer camp and bean field, C has kept her busy today. She's bearing up, but she's hurting bad. Her young horse, Lulu, went thru the fence too, but thank the Lord she only has a superficial wound on her back leg. She's now in the pasture with Kota, Laura's older gelding. Thank y'all for the prayers. . . . |

Just prayers, Miss Cat. Thank you. . . They've put Lulu in with Dakota because she was in the pasture yesterday screaming for Peekaboo. LB's daddy sent me a picture tonight with the two of them eating in Kota's run in. So I think they're comforting each other. I've been around Peekaboo for over 6 years, so I loved this mare. But the worst part is seeing my girl grieve for her beloved horse. Tears me up. Even my momma, who is Absolutely Non-Horse, has cried yesterday and today. I told Momma to let Laura lead--if she wants to talk about her, do it. If she doesn't, then we won't. (She and I "texted" the definition of flax mane and tails, with pictures, for 10 minutes tonight. I'm sure this comes as a surprise to y'all, but I cry easily in situations like this. So I think this was a safe topic for us.) |

They started taking pics at daylight and finished about 30 minutes ago--and they've been all over two counties! They finished up at my house doing "authentic" western pictures with the sheepskin coat and pistol/holster and rifle and horse; her parents brought Dakota from LA so he could be part of everything. Been a good day for everyone I believe. . . |
