Recently noticed these spots popping up on my sorrel mares mouth/nose. Any idea what they could be? I know vitaligo is possible in horses but is that what this could be? I'm trying to decide if I'll have my vet rolling her eyes if I send her photos in a panic

Looks like a non-event to me........

Not like soreness or a fungus.

I can honestly say those spots are probably not something I would ever notice on my horses... so kudos to you for noticing them! But I too would not be worried at all.

Call me stupid but I always thought that some horses just had those markings and it was totally normal...

Oh no I totally agree. They were just new to develop on her! I sent the photos to my vet just to be safe and she said that they were fairly common and they would probably disappear as quickly as they showed up. I figured with my luck since she's starting to clock, she would have developed some disease and be side lined. lol
