So those are technically designed for short term use, until an injured individual is able to get to a hospital for actual sutures. I honestly don't believe they would hold up well on a horse given that the sticky sides likely won't stick well to a horses coat due to dirt/etc.

I have a kit with some and yes, if there is too much dirt or any hair they will not hold. If you clip and clean they do tho. I have the kit more for me or another human that might get hurt while on the road and not wanting to find an urgent care or whatever.

Well #1- its designed for human skin so, you'd have to seriously clip the snot out of the wound to get down to bare skin

#2- physically closing the wound is only one part of wound healing

#3- again, designed for human skin, which is less strong and has less tension than equine skin

#4- its designed to last 7 days, which is not long enough for a wound that's worthy of sutures to stay closed anyway

#5- what about cleaning the wound, debriding the wound, freshening the edges, etc..

sure seems gimmicky to me to use on a horse wound. Not to mention, tetanus prophylaxis, antibiotics...

It looks like a decent product for a human with a minor wound.

Dilution is the solution! Agree - closing is sometimes the worse thing you can do.
