Philippians 4:7 God's peace, which is SO GREAT we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds IN Christ Jesus.
The Lord came to Gideon and told him he was to lead his people in victory over the Midianites. That's like God telling a housewife to stand up to her abusive husband or a high school student to take on drug peddlers.... "you better get somebody else". But then God reminds us that He knows we can't , but HE CAN, and to prove it He gives a wonderful gift. He brings a spirit of peace. A peace BEFORE the storm. A peace beyond logic. He gave it to David after He showed him Goliath,He gave it to Saul after He showed him the gospel; He gave it to Jesus after He showed Him the cross. And He gave it to Gideon. So Gideon, in turn, gave the name to God. He built an altar and name it Jehovah-shalom, the Lord IS peace. Judges gets 65:24. For it is WITH God ALL things ARE POSSIBLE Matthew 19:26. The Lord is close to everyone who prays to him, to all who truly pray to him Psalm 145:18. I pray you have a calm peace flow over you this very moment..the peace of our Lord and Savior. Like NO other..AMEN (so be it) AMEN IS (SO BE IT...

"you better get somebody else" cracked me up. So true. I've always had the notion that I should try to do something big with my horses, but I had never allowed the thought to stay in my head for more than a few seconds. Better to stay safe with my occassional jackpots, and no one noticing me. Until about a month ago when God was like.... we're doing this. So here I am, advertising a stallion... buying mares. Going to nursing school 0.o Everyday I ask him if this is really what I am supposed to be doing, and about that time, another door will open, and like okaayyyyy here we go.
Can I have permission to copy your original post? It speaks volumes to me today, and I would like to share it.
