Hello, what angle do you think is correct for a horses hoof to be? Someone thinks my horse's hoof is up too high and the angle needs to be 30 degrees?

Edit: Is there a way I could measure what angles I have now?

Yeah but I would like to see what angle myself before questioning him.

There's no set hoof angle for horses. Most horses should be around 50 degrees. Back feet are usually a few degrees steeper than front feet.
hoof angle isn't nearly as important as palmar angle (X-ray needed)

no one should be telling you what your horse's hoof angle should be unless they've got xrays for reference .

proper hoof angle should be determined with X-ray showing palmar angle and mediolateral balance. Shoeing would be adjust for digital break over, mediolateral balance, palmar angle and uniform wall depth in toe.

Ditto to above that the correct hoof angle depends on the individual horse and that is best seen by having x-rays to see what the individual horse needs.

I've never seen a horse that can stand at 30 degrees.  The only way to make sure your horse is shod at the right angle, is to get x-rays.
