I think the protein in the oak/Alfalfa might not be as high as the straight alfalfa, but I really dont know, have you tryed to google the two and read up on them? All I really know is that Alfalfa if pretty high in calories, thats why I will only feed a handfull at a time with their feed, Me giving Alfalfa is kinda more of a treat.. I feed my old donkey a little over half a bucket of soaked alfalfa cubes once a day, hes got no back teeth so he cant grind hay or grass so he gets the cubes for source of hay along with the feed he gets..
