How do you guys usually ship your saddle pads? Bits? Saddles?

Thanks!

Saddle pads i usually turn a plastic feed bag inside out and ship it in there. Bits just a padded envelope as big as the bit needs. Only shipped a saddle once, wrapped the horn with a cheap foam padding I found at walmart in the craft section. I've always shipped USPS too, it's always cheaper than UPS

Honestly,  I try to avoid it at all cost! Lol! Such a pain ... at least for me.. especially saddles. I am going to do my best to never have to ship a saddle again. Last 1 I shipped cost me $140 for a 45# saddle in a uhaul box, I provided and packed. That was thru UPS. fed ex quoted me almost $300 that was also without any extra insurance on it and saddle being declared "standard value " which is $100.00 I hear people saying $65-70 to ship... ha! Not around here. Make sure buyer pays shipping and allow for extra because most likely it will cost more than you think! That's been my experience anyway. Maybe someone else has better advice

I sell stuff occasionally. Bits-padded envelope. Saddle pads--I learned to save the box when I order one new so that I can use it if I sell one. Saddles--my husband's company packs them with bubble wrap and ships them Fed Ex at their company rate which saves me a ton every time. Other random sized stuff--either a flat rate box or my husband's company again. LOL The corporate account saves so much.

Feed sacks for saddle pads, padded envelopes or small flat box for bits and a box that your saddle will be snug/tight fitting in, the tighter the box the less it will cost to ship, the shippers go by the size of the box and the weight of the saddle so the smallest box you can get your saddle in will be less cost. I ship by USPS also now they are alot cheaper then USP and make sure you insure the saddle for just in case but a few times I have gotton away with not insuring but I was really nervous for the buyer untill the saddle got there. I always use the sign for the saddle method while being delivered, if no bodys home when saddle is getting delivered then saddle will be delivered the next day. But somebody has to sign for the saddle, this is to make sure the buyer gets the saddle..

I put a saddle pad in a trash bag or two and put a belt of duct tape on it. Ships with USPS for less than $14.
