Copper Springs Ranch is running a really good special right now on their studs so I've started looking at them a little more closely. The two I'm most interested in (that I can afford lol) are Prime Tallent and Carrizzo. Does anyone have any experience with these stallions? Seen them in person? I'm mainly wondering about temperaments and trainability. I've never owned a DTF or CC so it's all new territory for me.

I really like the Prime Talents I have seen... have not seen as many Carizzo's. Both are Pink Buckle :)

Also, I'm fairly sure that Copper Springs is including payment into multiple incentives with the stud fee, which is really nice too.

Yes that's why I'm interested! It like $600 or so in incentive payments so that's a big deal!

I’d probably go with Carizzo. The Prime Talent’s make better aged horses. They haven’t started hitting until they get to be about 8 years old. The DTF just seem to be a little more user friendly.

You will find a lot of stats on Carrizzo on the East Coast. I feel like he was kind of a hidden treasure until CSR bought him, I hope with them promoting him he gets the recognition he deserves.

Prime talent throws amazing colts with great minds. I have seen many of his colts work and as far as the age of the colts working good I have seen A few 5 year olds making it in the futurity’s . They are great mined and have a lot of try.
