Who is everyone breeding to?

We are breeding:

Frenchies Bad Girl (Frenchmans Guy X Shesa Bucket x Buckeye Bar Joe) to Epic Leader (ET

Ole Rare Hope (Rare Bar X Ole Mans Hope x The Ole Man) to Slick By Design

I Need A Hero (Valiant Hero X JT Joy Ride x Streakin La Jolla) to either Lucky Wonder Horse or Mr Sassy Frenchman (its a rebreed and I havent decided which I like better on her)

Reckless Lucy (Reckless Dash X Leavem Lucille X Bugs Alive in 75) I have a rebreed to First Down French I may use, who is the sire of her first baby that I run now.

Guys Love Lucy (First Down French X Reckless Lucy ) to TR Illumniator Cash (ET)  I just really like this stallion and I loved Dolly, hoping to get some bone and grit.

Still undecided (ugh) for my g-daughter of OTMR. I have a discount breeding to Dashin Dynamo I might use but I'm considering splurging and going with SBL. It's hard when you have one mare and you only breed once every 5-6 years LOL.  I wanted to add that Lucky Wonder Horse makes me drool and his first crop looked amazing! So of course he's on my splurge list with SBL.

I don't know if I'm breeding anything in 2020. I have a Guys Canyon Moon and a No Pressure On Me coming in 2020.

Yesterday afternoon, I noticed my weanling had a cut between his front legs. I thought, maybe I'll just doctor that and not take him to the vet. But nope, I caught him and he got away from me. So I get his gelding buddy and the buddy gets away from me. Go to get momma, baby runs thru the hotwire fence, runs all over the place with both mares out, one mean one chasing the baby. I catch mean mare, put her in the round pen. Get momma to the trailer and she gets in, turns around and almost traps me in the trailer. Have big bruise on my backside. Momma and baby run all over the yard. Catch momma and now she's not getting in the trailer. Get long rope, run it thru the window of the trailer, momma loads then runs backwards out of trailer, with my feet in rope - do a dance to get out of rope. Catch mom again, get her loaded, and push baby in trailer. Get to vet. Vet tries to fix cut, which isn't deep and costs me $$$$.  Then momma says "I'm staying here, I don't know why, but I'm not getting in that trailer."  Baby by now is well halter broke and loads like a champ.

So, sorry for the book, but I've decided I'm too old for this.  Anybody need a couple of mares??

I'm breeding my carters cartel Daughter to Nickster,

My hes a peptospoonful proved to catch very well with frozen so I'm thinking I'll use some semem I've been hanging onto for a while to a stud called la royal cash. He was a son of Dash for cash. I think it will be a cool cow / run cross.

I think the other 2 I have in foal I'll bring back riding. I cant decide though.

I'm really sad we didnt get the mare bred to LWH this year. And then I bought a younger mare who is pretty freaking awesome (the valiant hero) but after thinking on it I feel like she and LWH would be too hot. So I may switch to one of their other FG sons. But LWH sure is gorgeous.

I may breed my eldest broodie Zeon again this spring. If so, she's going to meet up with a Sun Frost son in OH. I'm torn because I do not want to risk her or a foal with her age. She foaled easily this spring and has gained back all her weight since weaning, looks good, frisky and healthy. But I've had two orphans already - and I know that is actually a best case scenario for things that could happen with a 25yo foaling.

I may breed Xena (Bunny Be Quick) to my Zan this spring after she foals her FWOTR baby. Depends on what I decide with the older mare and how Xena's birthing goes. I can't do 2 foals for 2021 - see above post about being too old! If not this year then next. I think these two are going to throw a beautiful and uber talented foal.

Oh how my mare lusts over MR---she would like to procreate and give me a built-like-a-you-know-what foal that has her personality and heart and it's daddy's color.  I know this because I saw her Christmas wish list. . . .

This is my first year picking out a mare and a stud and breeding my own. I'm so excited I can't hardly stand it.

We are breeding a Royal Quick Dash x Top Moon mare to a Panther Mountain x Bully Bullion stud. Panther Mountain has been my dream horse since 2012, I'm so excited. The mare is an AA off the track and has produced some 1D horses. She belongs to a friend of mine. She's grey, so I'm hoping for a grey colt!

Pedigrees below.

I think Metallic Rebel is outstanding.  He will be the top sire by Metallic Cat.  But more than MR, I like my studs mother more.  She is also the mother to the 2017 Superhorse BFR Igniting Sparks, and out of the 1985 reserve superhorse (Rugged Lark won that year).

I am breeding all of my cowbred mares to my stud (also cowbred). I am finally planning to breed my daughter of Judge Cash this year since she keeps injuring herself. I have to make a decision on who to breed her to. I can breed to a local son of Paddys Irish Whiskey and I may do that this year and then plan to AI next year. There are so many nice studs out there that I would love to cross her on.

They haven't enrolled him yet- they plan on it after the first of the year. I was pestering them enough, I'm glad they finally decided to! His new owners seem really keen on promoting him, I've seen him in a few stallion auctions already. That's good yours decided to come around from the dark side!!

She was just really broncy and friggin loud she squeels and honks like a bucking stock horse lol. Even still she will squeel and be tight but works out of it easily, I've ridden her everywhere and in the feedlot shes only 2. My colt starter is amazing and if you dont give him a time line can turn anything around and she was worth putting the time into! I'll have to pay attention once hes inroled and grandfather mine in.

I haven't come close to making a decision, I'm debating on breeding or leaving my mare open and breed next spring.

I've got a foal by Justaheartofawarrior coming this spring, we have a coming 2 year old by him that we really like.

I'm debating on going to him again or trying something else. Unfortunately I'm going to have to plan to sell something, I can't keep them all, so I'm wondering if I should go pink or ruby buckle studs??

I'm kind of like this stud too

I think they said Flingster is going to run this year, but I can't remember.

After 23 years of breeding , I am done. The 3 that we will have next year are the last. It has been a fun ride, but time to say good-by. Time for me & riding my slick by design / driftwood guy  :)

I have it narrowed down to Sawyers Game Changer, The Kandyman, or a local stud that is closely related to Jessica Routiers mare Missy. All 3 would cross nicely on my mare, I think, so it's just deciding which one first...

I LOVE Sawyers game Changer. I was going to breed one of my driftwood mares to him but I decided to not breed anymore, so that shoots that idea. Heidi will remain childless  :)  I don't think you can go wrong with that stallion.

Right!! I am really leaning towards him for 2020 to get one before his fee goes up and I'm kicking myself...

I will miss the baby's but I won't miss all the money it takes to raise a colt & then have to sell them for next to nothing. I won't miss the pain on my body from starting them & I won't miss the broken heart I get when I thought I sold to a good home & find out the horse was abused . I will hold all the wonderful memories close to my heart.

We are breeding our Feature Mr Jess daughter to this this guy. So excited to finally have our own to breed to and expecting four this year out of him. I think. May move a couple of our others.

There's so many nice stallions and incentives out there nowadays it's hard to decide! I give you all credit.  I was breeding just a couple a year and decided to stop because I just can't afford it and it doesn't seem like anyone will buy weanling/yearlings in my area.  I do have a BJO I can't run anymore and she won't leave, so she is having a Bullseye Bullion this spring and I am breeding back to MCM Imahoss.  :

I haven't come close to making a decision, I'm debating on breeding or leaving my mare open and breed next spring.

I've got a foal by Justaheartofawarrior coming this spring, we have a coming 2 year old by him that we really like.

I'm debating on going to him again or trying something else. Unfortunately I'm going to have to plan to sell something, I can't keep them all, so I'm wondering if I should go pink or ruby buckle studs??

I'm kind of like this stud too

How was your experience with breeding to Justaheartofawarrior?  Did your mare take the first time?

We bred my daughter of Chasin Firewater to Streakin Lil Wayne. I've already put in my order for a buckskin roan filly; I guess we'll see next spring if she listened to me.
