Sometimes God is seen as so distant that we expect Him to only lead us in mysterious, otherworldly ways. As a result, we think God is out of touch, unable to understand us and care about what we are experiencing.  But the exact opposite is true. For instance, in this Scripture of Ecclesiastes 10:8-15, God warns of falling into pits, being bitten by snakes when breaking through walls, and the danger of splitting wood. These were very practical and life saving warnings. Ecclesiastes 10:8. He who digs a pit will fall into it, and whoever breaks through a wall will be bitten by a serpent.  He who quarries stones may be hurt by them, and he who splits wood may be endangered by it. V 10 if the ax is dull, and one does not sharpen the edge, then he much use more strength; but wisdom brings success.  A serpent may bite when it is not charmed; the blabber is no different.  The word of a wise man's mouth are gracious, but the lips fo a fool shall swallow him up; the word of his mouth begin the foolishness, and eate end of his talk is raving madness. A fool also multiplies word. No man knows what is to be; who can tell him what will be after him?  The labor of fools wearies them, for they do not even how how to go to the city!   What is EXCITING for us is that God is just as concerned about the things that matter to us today as He was about the problems of those who lived thousand of years ago.  Obviously, God wants us to KNOW how to LIVE successfully by SEEKING, RECOGNIZING, and RECEIVING HIS WISDOM... at the same time, He warns us to REJECT the advice that comes from raving madness of foolish men and women who are always talking but do NOT know where THEY are going or how to get there.   This is a GREAT CHALLENGE, especially at a time when there are SO MANY competing voices vying for our attention and loyalty.  In the end, God warns that NO human knows what the future holds. It is a KNOWLEDGE He has reserved for Himself.  But He PROMISES that in real, everyday life He will revel His GREAT WISDOM to those who WILL FOLLOW Him, and that wisdom will bring success.  As a result, we can KNOW HOW TO LIVE and NOT fall into a pit or be bitten by a snake.  For it is WITH God ALL thing ARE POSSIBLE Matthew 19:26. Father God, guide me today to DO ALL things that will bring GLORY and HONOR TO You AMEN BLESSED CHRISMAS EVE
