I will keep this short. Our sheriff's department needs everyone's prayers. A young deputy was shot and killed at about 2 am in a routine traffic stop on Tuesday. He leaves behind two very young daughters and a wife. The guy that shot him headed for Shreveport LA about 50 miles away and after an hour high speed chase. He flipped his car and ran and a K9 officer had him by the throat when other officers caught up. This has got to stop.

God bless his family--I try to imagine if I were in his wife's place, and I cannot even begin to wrap my head around it. . . I have such bad feelings about criminals like this--I need to ask forgiveness for what I think should have happened to him. . .

Turns out that the guy who killed the deputy had a record that started in 1991. Charges have been repeatedly dropped or suspended and range from resisting arrest to possession with intent to distribute to armed robbery and parole violation Until people are actually punished no one will be afraid of police.
