under attack in Iraq from Iranian missles

The waiting is worst.  Iraq was not a combat zone. It is now.  

My son doesn't leave until end of Feb or there abouts.   That may be moved up.

A friend of ours got her notice that she was deploying on Friday, and Sunday she was gone.

I'm very thankful that my husband filed his separation paperwork and is not first in line to deploy, and I'm hoping that doesn't change. I will continue praying for everyone over there, and pray for the families waiting in suspense back home.

So Iran threatens retaliation for the greasing of Soleimani.  As expected, they launch somewhere between 12-30 cruise missiles.  No casualties.  They launch these from Iran, which is the first time this has been since the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980's.  They then proudly and openly admit they launched the attacks.

Something makes me think this might all be a face-saving move....a bluff....poking the bear.  Either their technology sucks real bad, or this is a deliberate swing and a miss.  I hope that's what it is.  They know dam well we could easily take out 1 or all of their refineries, and that would be unimaginably devastating.  I think Trump will do the right thing....and they already know he's capable of hitting back....much harder.

God's hand of protection on all our servicemen and servicewomen.  Prayers for our president and leaders.

I also would like to know if this is affecting things here. Within the last 24hrs the huge oil refinery nearby that was on the radar for an attack many moons ago has been having an enormous amount of activity and is lit up like a beacon. Havent seen it lit up like this my entire life time.

Go easy on her.  It's nice to keep people like her hanging around.  They serve a useful purpose. Give them leeway with their idiotic remarks.....kinda like giving them just enough rope with which they hang themselves. Just read what she reflexively wrote last night, and contrast that with reality.  She doesn't realize she is afflicted with so much hate and TDS that she regularly makes a fool of herself.  Encourage her to post as much as possible so she can be a teaching tool....like a blocking dummy in football practice.

This is what I heard last night. Allowing Iran to save face so we can negotiate peace.  They didn't hit anything. We could wipe them off the planet if we wanted to. The people of Iran don't deserve to be caught in the middle.  I truly think all they want is a better life and to be free from the oppression they are experiencing.

I pray for our military, President Trump and the patriots that have his back to get the best result we possibly can and no more people have to be hurt or die.

My son is going as scheuled to deploy same as before.  He is trained and his team is ready. Thanks for the prayers and I usually hang out alot of BHW when he deploys as part of "stress managment" so we all will be visiting alot.

Just to throw this in, the skies over the Air Cap were a total and amazing criss-cross pattern of jet streams this morning.  Fighter jets on the move.  It was awesome.  Also tankers and cargo planes taking off from McConnell Air Force Base and that was pretty awesome too.  Whenever there's a military dust-up the U.S. is involved in this is what we see.  Flexing those muscles just in case.

I may not agree with a lot of you politically but one thing that I will agree with you on- God protect the men and women in uniform. The Ukranian plane crash had 63 Canadians onboard and personally, I think that plane was accidently shot down.
