Yesterday I decided to get a new battery for my solar fence charger. I looked at an old battery to be sure I got the right one. Looked it up on the TSC website and found the one I needed for $21.99. I go in TSC and go to the area where the electric fence supplies are. They had two batteries. One too big and one too small. I asked a guy about any other batteries and without looking on the shelf he said that was all they had. I was actually surprised that he didn't tell me that solar chargers didn't need a battery!    Went to Walmart and back in sporting goods there was just what I needed for $9.88. Our TSC is so bad and uninformed that it is laughable. I don't know how they stay in business. It is hard to find anyone in there that wants to sell anything. 

we have a younger girl that took over managing our TSC,and that girl knows everything about that store!! I am so impressed with her work ethic and knowledge about EVERYTHING! Its nice to have someone that really cares for a change:)

I cant stand tsc anymore. Only thing I'll buy from them these days is shavings. I bought a manna pro supplement from tsc several months ago, got it home and opened it up, it smelled weird so I looked around for the expiration date and discovered it was a year past its expiration date! I took it back and told the cashier and she didn't even raise a brow, she just refunded my money. I wont, if I can help it, buy any feed from them again... they dont rotate their feeds or supplements! I was there the other day looking for something for our tractor, and decided to go check out the supplements... surprise surprise,  the manna pro supplement was still on the shelf with the expired date. Didnt use to be that way but it sure has changed 

I went to one tsc and asked for 4 tubes of wormer, since they are in a locked case: the girl unlocked the case grabbed 4 and proceeded to walk them up to the register without saying a word. I told her I wasn't finished shopping, and she made the comment "well it's so you won't steal them." Are you f-ing kidding me?!? I walked out of the store without even buying them and went to the local farm store 

Well dont flame me but i do work for TSC. Fortunately the one i work at and have for 3 years is alot more helpful. I can say that unless an item is on the shelf  (and not on top of the aisle) we dont have it in back. There is nothing in the back besides feed. We dont have stock stored but they should have been able to see if any other TSC store has it in stock or if they could get it shipped to you. On the wormer thing, unfortunately people have stolen enough that it is store policy to bring things to the front but they should have been alot nicer about it and just let you know they would be up there when you finished shopping. Our store cant even leave MSM on the sales floor because its stolen to make meth, as is dog wormer. And cant tell you how many things daily we find stolen.  I have heard about other stores not rotating feed unfortunately. I only know what we do at the store i work at and we are usually on top of that.

Im not sticking up for them, but just wanted to clear up what i could answer. I went back to school so im only there 2 days a week and do NOT want to work there my entire life

Ok so this isnt TSC fault but I just wanted to share a crazy thing that happened when I bought a dewormer from them. I picked up 3 of the Equimax dewormers and paid, went to the barn, my first box I opened, someone had emptied the tube and put the old empty 1 back in! I took it back and they replaced it for me.. so yeah I can see why they'd lock them up now! 

My local TS is actually very good and they do keep things rotated very well. As for the wormer mishap , I totally get it why the store did that. I went in to get a couple tubes of ulcer guard from my TS and called ahead, they had 20 on the shelf in store. When I got there over half of them had been opened , tube stole from inside box, and box neatly put back on shelf. I had to dig for couple tubes unopened. I would estimate that one theft alone well over 400.00. Just because we don't steal doesn't mean other won't. If it was YOUR store you would agree with the policy. 

I always check the box before I make the purchase because I have found empty dewormers too. Ours recently got rid of the case and put them all back on regular shelves. I'm interested to see how long that lasts. But ours never took them up to the register, they just opened the case & let us grab what we want. But I guess if they let you grab it & then don't see it when you check out they'll know something is up. I wouldn't even want to know the total amount of money lost on all the stolen tubes of various products, I'm sure its a ridiculous number. 

Kinda ot but this reminds me of last night. I went to open a new big jar of mayonnaise I had in my pantry and the dang safety seal wasnt on there! Just the lid.. into the garbage it went :-(  why can't people just leave things alone ... maybe it got thru the inspection like that but I sure wasnt taking any chances! 

Somebody probably licked it. . . . Or is that out of fashion now?!

Dont even get me started on our Tractor Supply here in Seguin, I dont understand why they dont hired more savvy animal people and when they have a good one they dont stay long, I say give these savvy people a raise so they will stick around..

I just read that TSC will be carrying Triple Crown feed. Nice! 

Ours are still locked up thankfully. People will walk out with just about anything. It's not uncommon to find ink tags in half, cut with tools from store and items stolen. Heck we've lost tires off the trailers outside. It's pretty sad the world we live in. 

Needed toothpaste so I turned down the toothpaste aisle at Walmart. Two little Mexican guys were licking various tubes of toothpaste checking the flavors. Quit buying toothpaste in there till they started sealing the boxes! Yuck

I really can't tell you all the stories but I was in a hurry and walking past the boots/shoes I saw a pair of Aristotle shoes 30% off they were my size so I bought them. Got them home and had two left shoes. Took them back. They put them right back out in the shelf!

You know those big ole plastic buttons they put on garments at TSC to keep people from stealing them.  I was trying on a pair of rubber boots (you know the cheap black ones that are polka dotted) and jammed my heel right into a tack at the bottom of the boot clear to the hilt. Ouch and Ouch and Ouch.  Someone had pulled the button apart and the backside of the button is another button that fits into it with about a 1/3 to 1/2 inch spike.  They had either placed it in the boot on purpose like that or just thrown it in the boot and it happened to land sticking straight up.  

That hurt me just reading it!!

I have too many TSC stories to share. We drive 44 miles to a good feed store then 12 to TSC. I do buy their pelleted shavings and that is it. It's like an Easter egg hunt trying to find bags that haven't been taped.??

I had seen some icthamol in TSC and was in a hurry so I asked where it was and the girl in there told me they did not have it so I walked to the area where I had seen it and picked up went to the register where the same girl was checking out paid and left. She never even noticed what I bought. 

Went in to buy a solar fence charger (about $175). I asked if the battery came with it or you had to buy it separately. The person told me that it was solar so it didn't need a battery. I told the person that the charger would not work for me if it only worked in the day time. I just ordered one from Valley Vet. They knew about the battery. 

Sorry but I was a customer, that should have never been said to me nor the assumption made. How was I to know people steal wormer? I'm a nurse, if I told half of the patients that I see daily they couldn't get pain medication because they were drug seeking....I would be fired. To me, being told I couldn't be handed wormer because I would steal it....was rude and never should have been said in such manner. 

Aren't customers what keep them in business?  Asking for a friend

Im not sticking up for the way they treated you at all and i am sorry for the way it was said to you. I was just explaining the reasoning behind the store policy . Did you call in and do a customer survey on the store or call corporate and complain? That does go a long way in tractor, especially customer service complaints. If we ever get a customer complaint it is dealt with

Theres 1 lady at one of the TSC stores that is absolutely nice as can be to EVERY single customer that rolls thru her line, she doesnt know a thing about livestock or anything that goes with "life out here" but I swear shes the most pleasant person to deal with, I'll wait in her line to avoid the annoyed 20 something, smacking gum, checking people out acting like shes doing us a favor..  this sweet lady always asks people what this or that is for, or asks how many dogs do you own or cats, whatever you're buying.. I just adore her.
