Thanks fo Chewy.com I received my 2 bags of bluebonnet. Finally get to try it ! I am kind of finicky about date codes. I can't see anywhere where the date is listed. I did a google search and there was an old post from 2012 about Julian date code on the bag. Can't find one so they may have changed it. Anyone know how to read their codes? Thanks !

All I found was that they go by the Julian Calendar date for the first 3 digits and the year for the last 4.. Give them a call tomorrow and I bet they will be more then happy to help you..

This off Rabbit feed. But same date code reading. Your 1st number will be year milled and then the date following that. They use the day of year. So this one was milled 2019 268 day of the year
the second picture is of a Triple Crown bag milled by BB milled in 2020 on the 2nd day of the year

When a feed store puts a order in. The feed is milled from there. Normally when we get feed in, it is only a day or two old. So it is always FRESH when we get ours in. Now cattle cubes and creep goat feed maybe a tad older. But the horse feed is always super fresh.
