I was thinking of buying a Scott Thomas all around since I can't find a good used martin all around or other good brand. But anyone know the fit and quality or history of this saddle maker? And how is the leather? I'm picky on leather quality thanks

I won one and put a few rides in it last spring. I feel like the seat size runs about 1/2 size smaller than my other ones. Some things I noticed- the pommel/swell is lower than I'd like and the stirrups are short. I'm 5'8" and am on the last hole that the stirrups can be on and I wouldn't saw I ride in long stirrups by any means.
Also the full bars to my knowledge are a 6 3/4 gullet size and I was told that is the largest.

I ride in a Scott daily. Mine definitely has a lower pommel and cantle, but I prefer a more open feel. Leather quality is quite good on mine. It's 13 years old now and holding strong, even with 8, or more rides a day. I can use it on pretty much anything in the barn simply by swapping pads. Obviously, there are higher end saddles out there, but it's super quality for the price point
