| I thought the Eddie horses were hot on their own? Am I wrong? I've only ridden 2 personally and they were both a little on the hotter side but wicked athletic and very competitive, just took more work than some others. One was out of a FWF mare that was suuuper quirky so I just wrote it off to that. Starting her colt was ok, nothing silly. Once I started asking him to bend or anything he wasnt sure of yet he would turn around and try to bite my foot!! Turned out to be a nice 1/2 second off barrel horse (400+ entries) and breakaway horse after wet saddle blankets, but still has his prance or sass though. The other was out of a cow bred mare that was as cool as a cucumber all around, walk in the gate flat footed and then put your kid on her to walk her down after she won the barrel race mare, but her filly by Eddie was a BRAT to start, super testy, swishy, antsy and just kindof a pain in general to be around until she finally got it through her head what her job was. Now she's a nice little mare, really gritty, stands up on anything, and is doing very well with a little girl that just loves her dearly and will stand tied or trail ride all day long then smoke a run... so I dunno? lol. Maybe they just need their "person"

I've always kind of thought they were hot headed but I've been told by more than a few people that they really arent that hot and tend to be pretty level headed in general. Sounds like the two you had ended up being nice horses. |

| I have a three year old gelding out of an own daughter of Apollo. He has always been cool as a cucumber. No buck, a real easy going guy. We have started hauling him to places to get exposed and he stands at the trailer and rides around great. A little spook here and there but he is still green. But I would for sure get another one! He has had a few wet saddle blankets but the next time you got on him, he was always better than the last. |

| Not a cross I would do myself. Or I should say, I guess it would depend on if I thought the pedigrees together would work. |

What do you think in his pedigree is "hot"? The Sixarun/Streakin Six? Because I've been told DTFs for the most part are level headed. |

I almost bought her. Super nice mare, but she was pretty watchy and hot herself. I figured it was from the mountain lion attack when she was a yearling. Now I think it was just her. My daughters DTF is pretty watchy too. He's smart. He was born seasoned. But he is pretty snorty.
