Has anyone ever had a good quality bear trap saddle. Most of the ones I see are saddle makers I have never heard of.

Go to Double J's website and they have a saddle called Fits Better, its got the kinda like Bear Trap swells, but not as sweep back as some of the Bear Traps that I have seen.

Wanted to add that Corriente saddlery has them too and this is a pretty good saddle maker for the price.

My two beartrap saddles I've had were Dakota and Diamond Cross.

A1 Saddlery (Gerald Bethune) makes a pretty nice quality saddle. I've bought (and sold) a few other brand beartrap saddles and find that these fit my horses and me the best. They also fit a wide range of horses. Both my daughter and myself ride them and by far are my favorte.
