Total Democrat count (split between 6 or 7 candidates) ...... By Tuesday night, it was clear that turnout would surpass the 254,780 votes cast in the 2016 Democratic presidential primary. And on Wednesday, the record 288,672 votes cast in 2008 fell.

Let me explain.  Trump is running unopposed. Basically the same as Clinton, Bush and Ovomit in the years represented on that graphic.  The people don't have to vote for him now to know he's going to be the republican candidate in the fall.  Apples to apples, the people are coming out in droves to vote for him.  They did so in Iowa as well.  If this is representative of the enthusiasm the people in other states have toward him, he's doing fantastic.

Norma, you completely missed the point.  Re-think, re-load, and re-post...if you have something to say.  This actually wasn't intended to be a post about Democrat turnout at all.  Not really.

Get it?

Bloomberg will be the Democrat nominee.  Bank on it.  All the hoopla and drama about Mayor Pete Butt-a-Judge, Crazy Bernie, Amy, and Joe is just a sideshow.  The Dems will b!tch and moan about Bloomberg's sexism in the workplace and racist comments on tape is just fake outrage.  This rich, white, old man will be hailed as the Democrat savior who will buy his way to the nomination.  In the mind of the extreme left, there is no such thing as hypocrisy, when applied to the Democrats.  Today's remarks about Bloomberg's wealth, sexism, and racism will be shrill......but the lemmings will all become mute and line up behind him, once his candidacy is locked up.  You can forget about all the other candidates.....they are all toast, and they know it.  Know this....you can throw out criticisms about sexism and racism of Trump, knowing Bloomberg's issues.

It will all boil down to this: When voters walk into the booth, will they feel they want things in this economy to change?  Are they better off now versus 4 years ago?  How will Bloomberg improve conditions in this country over what Trump's agenda has accomplished?  Will most people want to throw that all out the window because of some tweets?

The rumor about Hillary as Bloomberg's running mate is just a trial balloon.  It was designed to get an idea as to the public's reaction to the idea of her being his running mate.  Hillary is a political outcast...a leper....a toxic bag of bad gas.  I can't imagine any way she could be a benefit to any campaign.  Why would a New Yorker select another New Yorker as his running mate?  That makes zero sense.  A smarter choice would be to find someone who stands a chance of broadening his appeal....say a young Black man or woman from a battleground state,  Democrats are big on identity politics.  Andrew Gillum is a young Black progressive who came close to defeating Ron DeSantis for Florida. He's extremely liberal, but he would really be helpful on the ticket in Florida, and that would be critical. He's had his share of controversy, and I think he's more like Bernie Sanders, but he is an example of someone Bloomberg would select.  I'm just using him as an example.

I think a nominee would feel obligated to choose a black woman which leaves the very noisey and irritating Kamala Harris.

Did you hear Bloomberg's description from 2016 of what it takes to be a farmer.  "Dig a hole, plant a seed, cover it with dirt, and corn grows."  Very demeaning.  I know lotsa farmers, my dad was one, and brother it takes way more than that.

Maybe if Bloomberg had the libido of Willie Brown he might choose Kamala Harris as his running mate, but California is so solidly blue, I don't think he needs a slut for his running mate.

On a lighter note, one of the conservative pundits suggested that if Bloomberg won and Hillary was his VP, the only obstacle standing between her and the Oval Office being Michael......there could be an unexplained death in the Bloomberg family.

kind of like Hillary did her cell phone.
