My farrier thinks my horse's hoof walls are a little thin or weak. Are they any cost friendly supplements you recommend? I have never used a hoof supplement before.

If you can find it I've never used anything better than Equine Relevare Hoof Dressing.
By far the best hoof supplement I use is a mineral supplement called Horse Glow made by a feed company in Hereford, Texas. Their hooves are crack free and my horse actually has thicker soles.
My farrier said my horse's feet looked so much better and asked what was different. I have been feeding TRI AMINO by Ukulele. Wasn't really feeding it for hooves.

California trace minerals will have everything that you need for healthy hooves, ligaments and bone. If your feeding anything with iron in it or water high in iron. Your beating your head on the wall. As iron blocks the needed nutrients necessary for hoof health. It may look costly but it's not. They also have a cheater mix of copper and zinc that will work. If you need a place to start.
