I have a barn cat (female) that appears to have a UTI. She keeps squatting to pee, but nothing comes out. I adopted her last year from a feral cat rescue. She will let me pet her, but I can't pick her up. I tried to get her in a live trap (one of those cages), I was not successful. She is eating ok and acting normal, I just worry it get bad if left untreated. I want to get her to a vet. My horses vet is only equine. I looked to see if there was any online vet places for basic stuff. Most won't give prescriptions. I found one called MomentMD, but there are very few reviews and I'm sceptical about giving them my money. Thoughts? Thanks!

I doubt they would do online with her, but never hurts to try.  I have a mama barn cat just like that.  I can pet her, but not pick her up.  After two years of kittens, I finally picked her up and stashed her into the kitty carrier I had waiting, standing upright so it would be harder for her to get out.  I left the kitty carrier out in the barn beforehand, so she would get used to seeing it.   (to be honest, it's a dog carrier.)  I knew I would only get one shot at it.  Mission accomplished.  She got spayed, and getting tamer by the day.  Hate to say it, but when my house cat did what you are describing, it was kidney problems.  Good luck, at least you are trying to take care of your kitty!

I had to take mine to the drive thru at my vet.. we stay in the vehicle, they come out and get her, treated her and gave antibiotics. I had 2 that had those symptoms so I just shared the meds...I've been reading to put apple cider vinegar in their waters to help with those UTI's. So I started doing that. My chickens get ACV as well in their waters. So I started adding it into all my animals waters, including my horse. They all seem to love the taste!

When my cat had a UTI, I called my vet. He called in antibiotic drops to my local drug store -- and I picked them up.  Kitty was fine in a few days.  It was considered just a regular office call type thing.

If you are in a really tight spot you can try adding apple cider vinegar to her food. I had a barn cat that was super hard to handle and ACV helped her. It wasn't immediate so I felt bad about that, but it was the best we could do in that situation and it did end up working.

Thanks! I will try some ACV first. If it doesn't work maybe I can find a vet to call it in if I pay an office visit fee.

Try chanca piedra it breaks up the crytals/stone in their tract. Apple cider vinegar does the same but not as effective. If you get the liquid you can put drops on the cat food. Get on Amazon or perhaps health food store.
