My son is making me a tie rail.  How tall should it be?  We are having a discussion but cannot come to an agreement.

Thanks.  I have never had a tie place other my trailer or a large tree and once he sets that post, it is there.

Thanks.  I have never had a tie place other my trailer or a large tree and once he sets that post, it is there. 


Is it going to be a post are a rail, if post I put my tie ring above their heads and a rail like in the western movies I have had them about the middle of chest. I have a post at my tack room and I have it where the tie ring is above heads, then I can tie how I want..

Here is a picture of one of my posts, Husband drilled a hole at the top of and I ran a rope threw it with a snap on the end so I can just snap the tie rope on the halter.
