Not sure how new it is. Nobody local to me is carrying the Gastric care anymore and I don't want to have to pay crazy shipping to have it delivered from out of state. My local tractor supply sells a lot of the impact senior. Its a complete feed with forage built in. I'm not going to feed near the recommended amount but its low fat high fiber. Hope someone on here has used it. Thanks!

We've fed the Sr Active and Strategy HE for years, but I had never heard of this Impact; I'm glad you brought it up!

I was actually just thinking about the impact line. I tried the gastric care again recently and my horse choked AGAIN on it. Too dry and chunks of beet pulp aren't good for him. Sigh... I'm on the search AGAIN for a feed that will work for him. Had him on Omega Force for a while and he turned into a raving lunatic on it... like crawling out of skin. Took him off and tried TC sr... it's too much calories for him, he's a very easy keeper... he improved when I took him off omega force but blew up fat on the sr. So tried the TC lite and he choked... to me those pellets are big and hard. I need something I dont need to soak. I'm about at my wits end with this horse!
I'm feeding the Impact Professional. I got a 11 yr old mare that was in really POOR condition. She is doing wonderful on it. I get mine through our local Co-op. They don't normally carry it but they are getting it in for me.

I have heard nothing but good reviews on the impact professional performance feed!
This is what I ended up picking up yesterday after taking to a purina rep and describing the nightmare of a horse I have lol!' Hopefully itll work for us. It's a lovely feed so far... soft pellets but no beet pulp shreds for him to choke on.
