I get so excited when I see HLP's name pop up on here!!! My friends own a son of his that they bred to some barrel mares several years ago. There were a couple of nice ones that stayed in our area. I hope you have great success with your mare! Their stud is such a nice boy.

They are fantastic and freak athletes! She is a proven cutting horse and is a really nice heel horse! Just not sure what I should cross her on!

We have a mare--Haidas Little Pep & High Brow Cat. Former cutter turned barrel horse. We bred her to French Streakin Jess. Filly will turn 1 on May 18, 2020. Love this cross. Filly is smart, athletic and trainable. However she is not as flighty as her mom and is very much a people person. I think it's the Sunfrost cross--still atheletic but a little more user friendly.

Sounds like a great cross! Thats why I thought FWF would cross nicely on her. However, the PYC horses seem to be very level headed. Would love to see pictures!

Here is a picture of her from early April. She turned 1 today. She has shed out since this picture. She is starting to get a lot of white in her mane and tail--so some of her daddy's roan is coming through. I had to take the picture on the other side of the gate--otherwise, she is right by you wanting to be petted.

I don't know much about barrel horses except what y'all teach me on here! But that filly looks so very much like Haida's (my friends HLP son I mentioned earlier) babies that it's unreal---he almost always chromed up his foals even out of mares with no color and no prior colored babies. Good luck with her, I love her looks!
