Mares usually pretty much finish out their height at four years, Geldings at five.

I can't say I agree with the other comments. My cutting bred 2012 mare (so 8 this year) has grown from 13.3 to 14.2 in the last 8 months. lol She was pretty ungodly uneven.

My one mare was no more than 15H when I bought her as a just started 6 year old.  Then she started growing & is a healthy 15-3H and filled out so much more.  Another one grew a bit taller after 6 but she was & still is butt high - that didn't change.

I've had several geldings continue to get taller until 8-9YO. I had one grow nearly a full hand between 8 and 9. My mares, however, all seem to have gotten as tall as they're going to be by 6 or so.
