I recently got a horse with a little bit of a larger mouth and tongue. Her tongue is pretty big especially. I'm going to need at least a 5 1/4 inch bit. I was recommended a port bit would take pressure off her tongue? Not looking for a correction port of course. What bits can I find that are at least a 5 1/4 long? Is there any that aren't super expensive?

I make a chain mouthpiece. Larger chain and a little bigger center link. We have some big horses and they work well.  Clampitt Ranch on Facebook has pictures and videos.

Handmade it fit the horse.

My thick-lipped, thick-tongued gelding switched to a little S-hackamore. Couldn't be happier, he says. :D
