| Hey guys! I am starting my search for my next horse and I am looking for input in why lines you love or hate and why!
I know a lot depends on the individual but I need somewhere to start!
I am looking for a horse with 1/2D potential, just looking for a jackpot horse not planning to run rodeo. I do not like hot, anxious types. I tend to be anxious myself and it's not a good mix so looking for something with a more steady disposition. I also have my horses at home and kids, not all of them horse savy, running around as well as dogs and ducks and a mini horse. I need something kind that doesn't try to kill anything and is nice to have around. I do also occasionally like to trail ride with my 6 year old son so something that has enough brain to handle being outside of the arena too. Not having much luck finding horses in the NW! I like a horse that uses its rear and gets in the ground with quick feet. I am thinking run/cow cross. |

| I've recently started ridding 2 Judge cash horses and I'm really liking them. One out of a bully bullion mare and the other is out of a sun frost mare. The sun frost one is significantly more mature mentally.

Location: Oklahoma | My favorite is Streakin Six, however, I'm riding one right now that is Bugs Alive/Easy Jet on top and Iris Joe on bottom and you couldn't find a quieter, more willing horse anywhere. He's gorgeous to look at, as well. Very smart and honest as can be on the pattern. I won 5 buckles with him last year and already one this year. The lady that bred him has a couple of full brothers and sisters to him. You might contact her. Her name is Lori Madlom Best and you can find her on Facebook. Here is my guy and if I wasn't so old,I'd have a whole barnful of them. www.allbreedpedigree.com/iris+rum+on+fire |

Location: Illinois | The Sharps Bay/A Sharp Leo horses are collected like crazy where I'm at, people can't get enough of them. They're all super minded and a lot are really quick when you hustle them. The Bully Bullions and Marthas Six Moons are not my favorite, I have one thats both and they're very weird. She's extremely reactive, almost panicky. She's FWF & Bugs Alive n 75 on bottom which i think levels her out some. She has a brother thats Judge Cash on bottom and he's quiet, totally opposite of her. I don't like ASOF either, just don't like their turning style and the PSSM issues some have. Frenchmans Guy I like on some crosses. I think you're going to find them on all ends of the spectrum for each bloodline. |

| I am OBSESSED with Dash Ta Fame. Love that line more than any other. However I do like a speed cross on Hancock (which isn't everyone's cup of tea). They're sturdy, built to last, tough (there's a reason why bucking stock can buck and perform well into their 30's) but a cross on speed is the perfect golden combo imo. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | Streakin Six up close in the lines, I loved my Streakin Six bred gelding, he was the most sweetest gelding, loved to be loved. Wish I could find another like him, this bloodline is getting further back and such a shame.. |

| I tend to rate bloodlines by hotness. There are no bloodlines I don't like. But if too many of them show up in the pedigree a lot, I will avoid that horse. My, "A little is great, a lot is bad" list is: Bugs Alive, Zevi, Beduino, Moon Lark. My, "You can't go wrong" list is Dash Ta Fame, Bully Bullion, Takin On The Cash. I have a list for boys or girls only depending on what plans for them are. As an example, PYC and Ivory James. The boys by them have a lot of try. The girls, not so much. But the girls are producers. Scrutinizer, boys were great, girls were hot. |

| Dash for Cash and Easy Jet are the most prolific barrel horse sires in the industry for a reason. The are very trainable and they win. Dash for Cash has continued through First Down Dash then his sons but there are sons like Judge Cash etc. Streakin Six, Streakin La Jolla, Mr Jess Perry are a continuation of the Easy Jet Line. And oh what a cross these two have made. My favorite First Down Dash son is Leaving Memories. His offspring are so laid back and so trainable. I have a herd of them. Of course Dash Ta Fame speaks for himself. I have two Leaving Memories mares (granddaughters). crossed on Dash Ta Fame that are pretty darn nice. |

| I forgot to mention Firewaterontherocks. I have friend that I have known since college. Her daughter bought a daughter of Firewaterontherocks that had won a bunch of Futurity money. The little granddaughter is about 6. They have had the horse about a year. I can tell you right now that they are not going to put the kid on ANYTHING that she will get hurt in. I know Robin Herring well and she told me that she broke down with truck and trailer. Some ropers came along and picked her up. They had 5 horses in a 4 horse slant and one was Firewaterontherocks. He passes that disposition on to his offspring and they win |

Love my EJ/DFC grandson. He's 25 and just a love bug. I bought him when he was 5, and he was such an old soul even then. He knew to take care of me. But Lord could he fly when other people rode him. . . |

| I lost my Broodmare by Leaving Memories out of a daughter of Streakin Six. She had a week old baby by Guys Easy Jet. That was difficult to get over. Baby had had a rough time but will be ok. |

| It was tough. At 8 pm she was sucking up soaked hay cubes like a vacuum. I stepped back to admire how good she looked. We lad a moderately bad storm and I went out at 11 to check on everyone. She was down, got up, fell down. I ran in the house called the vet, a neighbor to help me get her loaded, pulled up some banamine. When I got back out there she was dead. So doing great at 8 dead at 11. |

| I just purchased an own son of Leaving Memories and the mares side is Easy Jet/Top Deck bred. He has been the most laid back, sweet guy I have ever owned. I haven't gotten to run him yet but in his younger days ran 1D times at large shows, so I am excited about him. |

| If going with more of a cow bred type horse, I would suggest Fiestas Gotta Gun offspring.. I've seen and been around a few that were all laid back/easy going. Also, some Duel Rey bred horses have done well in barrels. |

Location: Idaho | I am a fan of some of the older bloodlines; Beduino, Streakin Six, And Jet Deck. I am not a fan of Skipper W horses; they are great horses, but they either like you or they don't. The mare I had did not like me, she didn't have a good work ethic and she bucked like a bronc. My current mare is very foundation bred, not exactly what I was looking for but she is SO sweet and is honest as the day is long. She has Top Moon, Poco Bueno, and Doc bar on her face papers. I love her, she is just so sweet. She is hot but it is manageable and controllable. If I could clone her, I totally would! |

| I love Firewater Flit lines but seems like they are usually quirky and can be immature. I've had a couple of really solid, honest ones that will give you everything and hardly ever break down. Love the Streakin Six, Easy Jet lines because that's what I grew up with. Love a Jets Payday horse. Always seem gritty. Dash for Perks on the right cross are nice. Some can get too much run, same for Bugs Alive in 75. Might get flogged for this one but not a fan of Dash Ta Fame bred horses, you can not deny their success in the barrel pen just not my style. I've heard horror stories about Hancock horses being broncs, but have seen a couple that are really nice. As always though, papers dont make the horse just like horse trailers and trucks dont win barrel races. At the end of the day if I ride one and like it and we get along, papers dont really matter to me, but I like geldings and I'm not a breeder.... My current mount is by a son of FWF out of a DFP mare. He's quirky, was a handful when I bought & started him as a late 3 yr old, but now will go work ALL DAY for me, can absolutely fly, has great bone, and is very naturally talented. Hope to start hauling him soon to see what he does. Really wants to hunt the barrels, almost too much (eek) hello push style!

If you like StreakinSix and Beduino check this girl out.
https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/streakin+bugsy+bunny unfortunately she had a chip fracture. My vet cleared her to go barrel racing but long term I just wasn't sure she would hold up so she will be bred to a son of Corona Cartel next spring. This actually worked out ok because I lost her momma. A couple of months ago. |

There you go with the Dash for Cash! Leaving Memories dispositions are hard to beat. They are so eager to please. My trainer and I have 8 babies out of the two daughters we had. We have sold a couple but the rest are still hanging around. They are hard to part with. |

Now for my most hated - Caylx... never ever.
